pretty damn amazing body and paint. Only in Tucson. You've gotta bring this up to a Tempe meeting some time.
It’s far from perfect, but it’s a higher end driver quality in my opinion. I have to throw some tires on it before I venture that far, the ones on it now are over 15 years old.

I finally started body work on the 4Runner. It had been in a couple of slow speed accidents. One did some front end damage. The second was from rolling back with the DS door open. This damaged the door check at the a-pillar and pulled the door hinges away from the body. A new door was installed, but it required about 4mm of shims on the door side of the hinges for the door to fit. Needless to say it leaked a lot of air. A temporary fix was to pound the hinges back in. This worked, but there was still a lot of air leakage, especially from the vent window. I sourced some new-to-me door hinges over a year ago. I've been avoiding replacing them as it was my understanding it is really hard to align a door if you completely remove a hinge from factory placement on the body side. Guess what, they are right. That is they are right if you try to do it by yourself. I cussed and struggled for an hour by myself. Finally the Mrs came home and it was an easy-peasy 20 minutes. Door gaps are within 0.5mm of the PS now and no more shims are needed. :bounce:

The best news is I have no more air leaks, even the vent window. I guess the damaged hinges warmed the door just enough to keep the vent window from sealing all the way. I think some new weather stripping will take out the last of the air leaks. :bounce:

I test fit my clean DS fender and it looks good. I ran out of time to test fit my hood and wiper valence. I am hoping that my mildly damaged core support is fine. I have a spare, but would hate to replace it. I have a dent on the PS fender to fix and a body dent behind the DS door. I'm not in a position to do an indoor paint job and won't for a year or more. I'm antsy do make some progress though.

Up and back this weekend, FLG to CO. It's fall there, full on. Some good land cruising happened.

Last week installed two of LC Phil's innovative products (unpaid testimonial). Set of dual battery hold downs that isolate the fuseable link and a set of swaybar disconnects. Swaybars are super stiff though so need the good 'ol WD-40 can.

What's the story with the LHD B/F/HJ75? Looks extremely clean.

That's Eric's, the gent who builds Campteqs. It's a 92, 3F powered, originally imported from Colombia. It is clean - recently painted, and those lines are so elegant -- a beautiful truck.

So I take he is the man of a hundred plus cruisers in Colorado? If I ever get a 70 series will be either a troopy or a trayback.

Didn't ask, don't know. He's a kind and generous guy. I agree, it'd be fun to have a troopy.

Playing around with off road lights tried these on for size.

These are some old IPF lights from Australia. Having a hard time trying figure out what they are. Never intended for the US market, no SAE on them. One has a grounding thru the chassis issue but the lamp is good. With just other one on my hand heats up from two feet away. I know never going to get good gas mileage in a 60 series but with a the lenses being concave may actually hurt mileage if not cause heating over heating from disrupting the air flow.

No, different guy. The guy in Colorado with all of the cruisers is affiliated with Maltec, which installs the carbon fiber bodies.

Friday night I missed the club meeting, to install airbags inside the rear springs.
using a 4' prybar to lower the KDSS arm, it slipped and I gave myself a black eye :censor:
I continued like a pirate and finished up the install, so that Saturday I could pick up the Tepui RTT from @Pitch .

Eric was super helpful and the tent is amazing. the kids love it!

we'll be making our maiden voyage on the casner trip. I've ordered a set of Disc-o-bed bunk bed cots to stack the kids in, so we can all sleep in the tent. should make for quite the set up!

wrong guy

@TWILLY already pointed that out. Is your friend with the 100+ cruisers on the Western side of the Rockies? Really need to start exploring Western Colorado before I head to a nursing home.

Planning on a trip to the rim today. My wife read online Hart Prairie and Locket Meadow the Aspens leaves are turning. Night time lows are in the mid forties here. Not sure temperatures that start the color change but definitely cooling off in the high country. Fall is here.

Just outside of Telluride

Tired of mailing in fix-it-tickets for burnt out bulbs on the daughter's 3rd gen. Replaced all the rear incandescent's with LED's.
List of what it took;
4- 7440's (backup and turns)
2- 7443's (tail and stop)
2- 168's (lic plate)
1- 992 (upper stop)
And one EP 35 flasher relay to cure the hyper-flash.
