Finally managed to wire in my 5 to 4 wiring adapter. Now I can actually *use* my tow setup.

First try at embedding --- the stops are to catch flying objects or shift down to L ... these seemed really steep; the videos do NOT do them justice. On the slope, felt like I lifted both rears at the same time. But did the slope twice, trying a slightly different braking technique... but it was steep the second time, too. Dumped everything off front and rear seats both times. Ignore the French in the audio.

Cool video, I know what you mean...video and pictures seem to lose some of the at-the-moment pucker factor :D

BTW: is that Broken Arrow trail?

Thanks - I took Morgan Road to 179D/E/F out to Chicken Point - as far as I can tell it is also known by Broken Arrow - a Pink Jeep favorite, but still worth the trip. Here's the slope, according to CS5 its only 35 degrees - still, enough to empty seats of any contents not holding onto something.

The steps weren't as steep, but were 'engineered' thrill steps for Pink tourists... and my stock suspension hit frame once. On that trail I hit bottom maybe three times: once with the hitch, a couple times with the disposable frame braces just behind the front wheels.

A couple of the images are from Schnebly Hill Road. Other commenters are probably right, better to do it from I-17 into Sedona. Be warned, Schnebly is like driving a 12" boulder strewn creek bed for 7 miles. The second 7 miles on top are almost nice dirt by comparisom to the lower 7 closer to Sedona - I made it tolerable by driving fast enough the suspension never hit ground between rocks (10-15mph in the roughest spots - down to 2-5 where tire damage was possible -- I passed a newer stock 4runner or LC that was creeping along at 3-4). Made me appreciate the FJ's Trail Tuned suspension.

ARB bumper took a trip to RockJock the plastic surgeon for some nip/tuck. Next phase is to add some d-rings and bedline the bumper :hillbilly:

Gratz! First I knew it was expensive to make collages though... ;) ... I know; but I try to have fun with English because I'm so bad at it and usually get called out first. Pics please - and does the new rig have any frills or is it a stocker?

I bought it from the second owner. The first owner purchased it and had it shipped to Slee. It has a TJM front bumper with a warn winch, Slee rear bumper with swing out tire carrier, Slee sliders and OME lift. The first owner quickly got bored with it and sold it to the second owner. He only drove it once in awhile to take the family to CA. I don't think he ever took it off the blacktop. It is like new. Not much needs done to it. I'm not a fan of leather so maybe some seat covers. I was thinking about getting rid of the rear spoiler and having the holes filled and painted. The spoiler on 2006/2007 are a little wimpy looking. My 80 will be the wheeling thrasher and the 100 will tow the pop up and used for fishing and camping.

Sounds like a great find

Landcruiserphil's Rock Rails™ installed!

Very easy install. Spent more time on the paint than the install.

Thanks, Phil!

Installed Fox 2.0 Performance shocks, 2" Man-A-Free drop brackets, front sway bar drop brackets, and rear drop links. Rides amazing now compared to what it was.
