Went out to a mate's place and had a look at a cab there for parts... yep, there's some of the bits I need... And then when we came back into town, they had a look at where I was up to with the SWB here, and we've decided a weekend day should get the engine in and running.

I trust these guys with their Land Cruiser knowledge, I think the list of their Land Cruisers is something like this:
2x 80 series (1x HD-FT, 1x HZJ)
1x HZj75
1x HJ75 that works
2x HJ75 for parts
1x HJ47 with a 12H-T (daily driver for 35 years or so, with a full load of tools on the back as a service ute)
2x HJ47
1x HJ45
1x BJ40
I think that's everything, oh and an early 1980s Hilux

On my list, too. But I have trouble finding the alternative part no, as my original is discontinued, and make sure those have the E-numbers on it. Yours have it.
Can you share the part numbers, please?
Thanks Ralf

Guys, Trying to complete this knuckle rebuild/brakes/manual hub conversion on the 97' hzj73. I want to get these brakes correct. Old caliper and pad settup in the pics are the dirty ones, new is shiny. Question, do I use the old spring plate on the new settup, or the new pad spreading thin wire spring the caliper came with? Second question. Do I use shims pictured with the old settup and transfer to the new pad, or do I assume if the pad didn't come with these shims it doesn't get them? New stuff is in lower pic. It's funny how this small stuff can hold up a project. I'm anal and trying to get this right. Thanks in advance.

That truck is looking so good!!

New paint on the FRP? I am considering repainting mine, just want to run down a correct off white paint code and the part numbers for new weatherstrip.

Any information you could share on either?
I recently got all the seals for my one (BJ73 FRP top 1985) from amayama:
Toyota 6315190K02 Seal, Roof Panel Reinforcement The seal over the windscreen on the edge of the plastic
Toyota 6316390K01 Seal, Roof Panel Reinforcement, Side 2pce The seals over the doors.
Toyota 6656990K01 Seal, Roll Over Panel, Lh This seal goes between the rollcage and the body. The RH side, 66559-90K01 is called out to be discontinued. There might be a superseded PzN, but I was unable to trace it down.
Toyota 6316190K01 Weatherstrip, Roof The main seal between body and FRP Top, going all the way Lh side, up door pillar, over lh door, a cross windshield, over rh door, down door pillar, all the way Rh side.
Good Luck Ralf

Took my oldest son who turns 18 in a week, and graduates this year for a 1 on 1 snowboarding trip in the rockies with his old man.
We went to kicking horse in Golden which is about a 3hr drive for us

We stopped at the Roger's pass for a quick stretch along the way.

Not a lot of snow at the pass for February, but I think we had some of the best snow conditions in the province as it snowed a whole 3 inches the night before. Still less than ideal, but not bad considering the lack of snow and icy conditions at most of the other hills within driving distance.

We stuck with the top half of the mountain and enjoyed ourselves, and the opportunity to connect before he finishes high school and heads off to university.

Not NLA. If you talk to a person it’s superseded to a different PN.

First time poster,

I purchased an old run down work horse a few months ago and one of many issues is the old 5th gear popping out.

I came up with this tonight which seems is going to work a treat, I’ve got full engagement of the gear now.

Oh. Good to know. If you happen to know the PN, please share it.
I checked on the websites of the usual vendors that do provide superseded PN as well as the cross-reference on toyodiy. (Once again today)
Non of them provided an alternative for 66559-90K01 SEAL, ROLL OVER PANEL, RH . Even for 2006 models.
I have no more resource or person to research with. Sorry.
Ralf
