I opted for 295/70/17. Measures in at 33.6. I’m glad I went with it because a true 33 looks great, I think a true 35 would look a little big.
Is your truck lifted at all? It looks great with those tires.

Thats a great size. I probably would have went that route had I not had OEM 16" rims. How's performance with the bigger meats?

The ride is a lot smoother and quieter than the 285/70/17 KO’s I had. On the gravel roads we were on it was great! Aired down to 25psi and it was perfect. There is currently an OME lift on it, I’m not sure which but I know I’ll probably be putting another leaf in the front and need to replace all the shocks and bushings in the leaves soon.

Someone who was interested in my PZJ70 locally commented about the lack of a cig lighter. I managed to buy one for it which I thought I would never do. Surprised that Toyota still sells this stuff.

That lighter is the best way to light firecrackers while on the move.

I didn't test it out until after I posted the picture but it is like a hot projectile when it releases itself once heated.

It shot out of the housing really fast and landed on my floor mat. I guess it is too loose to stay put during the "release when hot" mechanism is activated .

At least it stays put during non-operation.

Maybe the spring will weaken after multiple heat cycles. Could you tweak the metal "shroud" to make a larger diameter...slow it down?

Yesterday I drove an hour to pick up new bumper from powder coaters.
Also found my new fuel sender had arrived from UAE.

Wasn’t planning on buying a pickup but came across this BJ75 at a farm in France that was the right kind of project to make something out of so I decided to haul it back with the HDJ100

Maybe I just make a shop truck out of this one 🤫

Swapped in a new OEM steering box, trouble shot and fixed front e-locker, installed front driveline, adjusted BP51’s and took it on a fifty mile mixed driving test drive. And done before five!!

Witnessed some of Odd Iron's magic on the dyno. :)

Hello,

CGG, Companie Génerale de Géophysique. I had not seen that logo in ages. It is strange to see it out of work.

Quite likely, that truck was used for seismic surveys. It probably saw a lot of interesting places.
