What did you do on your 70 series today?

I know rear coil spring swaps on most 70s aren't a thing on this site.....but they are on my ride. Swapped in some stock height OME 80 series springs with helper bags in for stocker 80 series springs.....and threw in a set of 30mm Dobinsons spacers. Gained about 2" of lift without the bags...which is perfect because the truck has some new additions.

DUMB QUESTION ALERT:
What the hell is "remove automatic timer from timing gear cover" Are they saying the gear on the right/injection pump sometimes comes out with the timing cover? The drawing in the manual isn't very clear but it appears to be that. And if it doesn't come out with timing cover, is it a tap out sort of deal?
EDIT: Apparently it does all come off according the manual and you can disassemble it. I decided to not mess with it a ton this morning, so I will get back to treating on it later.
Also, any idea what the bolt size is for removing oil squirters? Just a quick check with an M8 1.25 would barely thread which leads me to believe thats not it, or it's really corroded.

Supercharger snout rebuild and a fan clutch upgrade happening......in hindsight, I should have moved the motor back about 3-4" so it wasn't necessary to disassemble it this far to service things. It's like I was trying to build a German car or something.
In all actuality, I kind of added the supercharger last minute.....we were far too committed at this point to move things around so we just went with it. The more you know.

If that one ends up burning up and deteriorating. I have a couple good t3/t4 sizes that I was playing with when I had my rx-7.
Good to know, thanks! Although I've done some research and it seems like they mostly fail on petrol engines since they run much hotter. Well, I just hope it'll hold up

Question: Since I have the head off already, what is the best was to attach to the engine to pull it out? Can I bolt into the head bolts (4 of them) to lift it out as long as I protect the mating surface of the block?

It's a 30x80 shop with one end closed in. I'm going to put doors on that as there is a stove in that side that keeps it nice and toasty in there.
I'd be more concerned with painting that basketball backboard. being the same color of the wall would make it difficult to play and drive me mad.

Short and light so you can push them when they get stuck... also thick bottoms..10mm high tensile aluminium ... i hit about 30 rocks in 50km of river... mined 3mtr long with suzuki m18a engine (bike carbed )
Block off to the machine shop for the following: csleeves pushed out and new ones in, block cleaned, crank will be polished, cam off to be reground if needed, new cam bearings, flywheel machined, everything measured to make sure in spec.
Just looking at crank and cam the guy said they looked pretty good. Just minor polish on crank. Pretty impressive for 485km. Would have went further if not for the blown hose that caused the headgasket to go.

I was thinking about this the other day because I went and dig up my ptp blankets because I was gonna throw it on my turbo. But then it didn’t make sense to do so. I used the blankets on my rx-7 to keep my turbo hot and more responsive. I’m not sure if the benefits of the blanket outweigh the possible negatives like cracking your manifold due to high heat and always having a high EGT along with having to wait a couple more minutes to allow the turbo to cool down since the heat is being retained.
If you do have a pre turbo EGT probe would you mind sharing what your temps are before and after the blanket.
But then again my turbo knowledge is limited and I only know what I learned from my mechanic and tuner for my rx-7.

Painted my HZJ75 today , this Troopy has been sitting here for quite a while getting passed by many other projects . Lone Star Cruiser meeting on Thursday so that should give me enough motivation to get it all ready.
Painted some oem 16” wheels also for it.
Since it needed new wheelwells I decided to weld in a second filler cap and install a second 145 liter tank.
