Did the birf job. Pretty straight forward. I'm pretty sure they had never been apart by the PO and it had 106K on the clock. Both still looked good and had plenty of grease in them. Nice to know they are good to go for awhile now.

Kneeling on the balls of my feet gave me some nerve damage in my foot somehow. Can't feel the top of it...I'm guessing it will come around though.

fooled around with the bumpers
did the turn signal mod too
moved up the A/C dryer
changed all wiper blades (it's gonna rain, what' with that cold weather?)
contemplated cleaning the carpets... forget that!

replaced door speakers. what a f:censor:ckin'g pain in the a:censor:s that turned out to be.

got it done though...sorta...

Drain/refill of the diff's. Gear oil looked brand new, so PO must have taken care of it as I was told.

Pressure washed/degreased the undercarriage. If I dont have any leaks, I'll finish going synthetic next month in the rear, will go syn in the front when I do the Birf job.

Checked all fluids, topped off where necessary.

New rear wiper blade (put new dealer fronts on about a month ago)

Getting the misc doodads to do breather extensions, prestone coolant flush kit, and a parts list for a full cooling system makeover (hoses, tstat, radiator cap, fan clutch. PHH.

Cleaned it out, washed it, tirewetted the tires. Did the same on the wifes car (tryin to convince her we need to get rid of her dodge avenger on a locked cruiser, so she can take over the LX.

Took some more measurements for the cargo box project.

Spoke with a vendor friend of mine who may have a line on a rear bumper from a friend that runs a salvage yard. Swing out spare, two jerrycan holder, high lift mount, and a 2 inch receiver.......

Almost sounds like a kaymar. Or a custom deal...

ordered the swaybar drops and speedo gear from slee. this stuff is never ending, always something to do.

Doug,

What speakers did you use?
I just took my rig to Magnolia. The installer at Arden really knows his stuff. They only charge something like $50 for install a pair of speakers. I think it's well worth it. When he installed my front Alpines he created custom wood spacers. Pretty neat.

Replace the Tcase rear output seal and cleaned up the garage for the upcoming projects! Now, what to do with that transaxle from our old '89 Nissan Sentra.....

Adjustable upper rear control arms, adjustable front panhard, stopped the hi-lift from rattling on the roof rack. Now if Slee will just get the adjuster for the rear panhard in stock before Moab next weekend :grin

I believe he said it was a custom deal. Either one would work for me, especially if it only costs me 3 heavy duty outdoor rated 20 amp extension cords that were free to me :grinpimp: :grinpimp: :grinpimp:

He has a fab shop at his house, used to build race cars. If the rear bumper falls through, I think I may keep him supplied with free beer to take a stab at building a swing out that uses the factory bumper like one I saw on here last night.

Dang, I might just need to end up getting the super heavy duty rear springs when i get around to lift it.......

That's what I should've done.
I blew most of the weekend fighting with it...
I have Boston's in the front.

No one locally had 5.25" spacers, so I made my own...
the 4" speakers I have won't fit in the hole...so I'm thinking about saving those for another use (maybe install them in the cargo area) and installing 6.5" speakers in the rear door.

I'll need to mess with it a bit more later.
