What did you do on the 80 this weekend?

I hosted a TECH NIGHT at my home for the Wasatch Cruisers. I did a Birf repack. Everything looked swell and dandy until I did the other side the next day.

I found this on the outer pass side bearing race. The bearing was pitted too. So, I did some bearings.

I looked at mine and said damn josh you have got a sweet 80 to yourself. Then proceeded to drive it around.

Fixed it for ya. Literally. ;p

Our club went and pulled a destroyed Cherokee off of a local trail and then I began installing my new CB hardware for my upcoming trip this weekend. Only got the antenna mounted and coax run though.

:D

death to juniper bushes!

Used my tow strap to extract approx. 150sqft of juniper. Very satisfying stress reliever. Couple of 'em I had to put it in low!
A few of the root balls came flying straight at the truck at warp speed. I should have videoed the whole thing.

cool,

How's your puppy, Slaw, doing?

:D

Chelsea is doing great, although she continues to drive me nuts by chewing on the most random things, like my only warm wool hat. She put a 3" diameter hole in that...

However, I suppose it's like a parent's love for their child, in that she continually pisses me off, but I love her to death anyway...

whoah, was about to do the same thing... did you use a snatch strap or a tow strap? I think I'll try a chain but may use a secondary rope to avoid cannonball issues....

installed BMW horns

I installed BMWS horns out of an E34 1989-1995 BMW. They are excellent and fit right in the stock position and are made by Fiamm. Loud and impressive, no stinking Corolla horn for me.

Took the $12 hazard switch I bought from Ebay in as a CDL switch (15 minutes!) sucked old ATF out of PS and refilled with fresh ATF, topped 1 quart of oil, replaced M#TH#@F#$KI%G cracked intake hose. Cleaned center console while it was apart.

Tomorrow, tighten front wheel bearings, drain and refill front differntial and do the 7 pin mod.
