If anyone is free tomorrow I could use a hand with moving and skinning my camper.

Dang Chris! Betsy and I have been watching videos of those little tear drop trailers for the past few weeks. I think she really wants one or to make one. I will have to pick you brain one day on it. I will be working and on call, but let me know when you plan to do it, I might be able to stop by.

I spent a while trying to fix up my rear door. It's really hard to get a straight shot on the dent from the other side but I got some of it out. I used a dolly and spatula and pryed mostly. I think I'll need to use a stud welder for the part I can't reach.

There's a cease that I doubt I'll be able to fix no matter what. Oh well. It's a story I guess.

I have been watching that, just have not pulled the trigger, but looks like I need too!
I decided to jump and be the test dummy on this because of my front left window issues even after replacing run channel, window motor and lube. It's immensely better but not on the same range as the other windows. I'll eventually go back into that window and make adjustments. Perhaps replace the window regulator.

Where does one find this magic device? Now that we are back into cold season I was quickly reminded that I need to tackle my 80 window woes

Got a lot done today. Most taken apart the cruiser has been in terms of all the different parts to work on. Removed passenger LCA (torsion bars suck!!) and pressed in a new ball joint to the (new) arm. No issues. Painted that and ready to be put back in.
Removed drivers side UCA and pressed out old ball joint. Going to tap and install greasing zerk to the new ball joint for future maintenance. Got all the parts I need to start the diff project so I will be working on that before thanksgiving.

Was there something wrong with the LCA?

Was there something wrong with the LCA?
LCA was missing some material where the ball joint was so the bj was not tight in there. I could spin it by hand.

Some zerks are 1/4-28 UNF tapered thread, but they fit a straight 1/4-28 tapped hole. Others I've seen lately are metric M6. Easiest way to check is to find a 1/4-28 nut at a hardware store or in your spare parts bin and see if the zerk thread fits it. If so drill #3 as someone suggested and tap 1/4-28. If the 1/4-28 nut doesn't fit easily it might be M6.

If it is M6, you need a 5mm (.200" roughly) tapdrill and an M6 tap.

The link below shows some other styles of thread on zerks made by Alemite. Has all kinds of thread info.
