I took the mount I got from @Land Shark and made a mount to install it in the 40 along with a 3 gal has jug. Now to get the adapter to add back a 2 gal water, but it may be too heavy? I may need the extra fuel at SAS 8 and Moab next year.

Have fun man. I am in final prep mode for sas and on call this weekend.

Now that I determined engine is all good I'm jumping right in. Timing belt job way easier with engine out. I'm scared when I have to do it to mine in the bay. Find the banquet

Blaming/thanking relic run for giving me the 60 bug after seeing moonshine and cruiser Matt's epic and super capable builds.
1989 somewhere around 300k but no dash so unconfirmed. Long term project hoping to put an LS and spring over axle but who knows!! Super pumped. Little to no rust on the frame and only some spots on the body worst being the floor pan in the foot areas in the front. Shoutout to my neighbor who helped me with his truck and trailer. Real hero.

Love this - let me know when you start in on your projects and if I can help!

Have -- knock on wood -- finished my power steering saga. After all sorts of leaks and problems (and some screwups on my part), I got my hands on a rebuilt 80 gearbox; fully disassembled and rebuilt the pump, along with a little extra gasket sealant; battled the pitman arm (and ended up needing a new drag link end); added an in-line magnetic filter; re-did some hoses; and recalibrated/centered the steering wheel. Drives like a new truck. Only wish I did it before a road trip to Nashville / Western NC. That was some interesting driving.

The 80 series gearbox is just about plug + play on the 60. I reused the 60 series pitman arm (different drag link bores, but same splines on the gear end), needed one stretch of longer return line hose and its slightly larger dimensions required some jiggling and BFH tapping. If anyone is tackling your steering assembly and need some help, lmk. I have made all the mistakes already.

I also have an extra 80 series pitman arm (not the 105 bore) if anyone might need one.
