One day I too will join the ranks of those that can weld...

Bring home some scrap from your job site and we can drink beer and play around with mine

It looks like my Moonglow paint has faded quite a bit! I confirmed with Toyota this morning that I got the correct color. Inner door jambs are darker than the outside.

Laid some more clear on the hood. Figured, "just go with it"

My axle tube mount finally came in. Fingers crossed this has been the issue with the ongoing merry go round of cv’s ive been feeding this beast

Definitely seen better days. How did you come to the conclusion on replacing the mount?

When replacing a cv I was just poking around and thinking what more could play a part in all of this. Pushed up on it and moved really easily and thought “ that shouldn’t be that easy to move”.

More of while you are there....
Oil pump o ring, front crank seal, idle pulley, tensioner pulley, new belts, and water pump.

I am glad I read up on oil pump o ring-and replacing all the screws. Two boogered up on me but I got them out. At over $2 each, well worth it to not run all over looking for correct ones. O ring was brittle and fell apart. Hope this takes care of the oil leaks up front.

I had a used blue fan clutch in much better shape than what came off so I put that on too.

All this is soo much easier with the front if the truck off😊

I drove to The Plains yesterday to pick up some parts. Including a ARB non winch bumper that I will modify and paint to accept a winch. Good thing I have a winch version to see where they braced it. This will go on the 96.

A bit more done on the cooling system. Getting closer to making it go vroom again. I did a rear heater delete and new valve and hoses. New Toyota Radiator and shroud.

That thing is coming together nicely.

Well, in prepping the 94 for next weekends camping trip, I found the rear heater lines leaking. Covered in rust, only one thing to do! Who would have thought I would be doing two rear heater deletes in one week? Oil changed and now new belts. Should be good to go.
