More fun with the hard top. I had the ceiling fans and ac on yesterday and it dried too quick and I could not work it. Today i cut most of it back out and redid it. I also got the hatch installed.

It’s a redarc solenoid. I’m using it to “jump” the starter battery if jump pack fails. It’s wired to a momentary switch on my auxbeam panel. Here’s a little one line of how everything is/will be wired.

Since the 80 had one cup holder and I have kids that like to ride in the landcruiser, I added a couple in the back that I found on Etsy. Added a USB port to it and ran that back to the QPM (or at least will tomorrow)
Also squeezed that QPM back in. It was a pain with that compressor attached to it. Was dark so no picks until wiring is complete.
And saw on YouTube where a guy used thin superglue on the holes that retain the clips in the door panel. It soaks into the MDF/cardboard and gives it some strength. Helps also fix any holes that are blown out already.

Taking advantage of the cool morning. Mounts welded in fully. One step closer to getting this engine back in.

Was working on putting some caster correction plates from landtank on and saw one of my front radius arms are not like the other…
Slee or delta arms next?

put away my engine trans work setup for the upcoming several days out of town. Filled my trans partially only to find a pinhole in the new trans pan. So warranty and replace here in the next couple of weeks. Got the front end prepped and painted to put the drivetrain back in. Should have a final pic w the black final coats but this is all for now

I moved two good truck loads of firewood from my neighbors yard this morning. I think it was 95 and 90% humidity as you all know.
I moved into the garage later after cutting some boards to make some French Cleats for Betsy. Look them ip they are cool. We will hang them Sunday in her studio.
Next was to start bolting the hard top together, proving a little difficult, working everything by myself but I about have it. I did stop to add the supports and latches to the hard top sides. A few riv nuts and I had it.
I used an old side for measurements.

You can also mix baking soda into the superglue if you need some "filler" for blown out holes.
