Spent a few hours yesterday rebooting and cleaning up a couple of OEM cv axles to have as trail spares. Shoutout to @FamilyCamper for gifting them to me off of the parts truck! Splines looked good and there was not any play in the housings so I figured this was a better solution than rock auto specials. Two banana job, but my god is it messy.

Finally fixed my brakes... straight braking is back. Went w rockauto power stop calipers to save some money. Got the ones for the 03+ and they do have larger pistons.

Ended up taking the gf's Subaru camping and replaced the radiator this morning. Pretty easy job. You don't even have to remove the fan clutch.
If you're an amateur like me and you don't have one of those fancy radiator funnels a water bottle with some electric tape around the threads makes an excellent substitute.

Well got the rear 8.2 painted, new seals, new breaks(parking and disks) finished now just waiting for the 4.88’s +locker to be delivered from ecgs. I still need to pull the 8” and front diff out to get the gx ready to accept the rebuilt parts.

30 minutes of work on rusty "old yeller" fj62. Fuel pump changed and sadly found an immediate break on the sender line just as it comes out of the tank. Dont think it's worth it to go through the trouble to fix or get another. Will try and make some money back on the drivetrain and use as many parts as possible to get the Grey one up and running. Definitely looking forward to having a template for getting everything back together.
