were 100's ever part of a frame recall?

I just noticed the first red truck I posted is sitting in a parking lot, like he went to buy dog food and came out to it snapped. I would bet there are some wild stories out there online about people driving these down the highway and they pop like that. Now I need to go find some videos.

I reached out to the seller of the vehicle in the OP asking for documentation on the frame swap, but no response.

@FxFormat I have a question regarding frame rust, since your a safety inspector. How much rust makes a frame unsafe and unpassable for inspection? Is light flaking and a 1 inch hole okay to pass? I'm considering taking it to get inspected at a Toyota dealer in the spring since the OBD requirements expire in February.

If i see a hole in the frame anywhere, then i have to consider that unsafe, if it's really bad surface rust and chunks flaking off, i might have to fail that too. It's really up to the inspector, but usually it takes something really bad for me to fail it.

on a positive note, it folds up like a victorinox.

I have a 2013 with about 41k purchased on October 2013. A out six months in I looked under and noticed rust but had already moved 700 miles away. I recently took it in for regular maintenance and while they had it up in the rack they let me take some pics. I have zero idea what to look for but it certainly looks like a fair amount of rust to me. I’ve got another 18 months in my platinum warranty should I’ve pushing anything with this amount of rust? It’s always been garaged and I usually wash it multiple times during the winter. If it’s not terrible yet is there anything I can do now to slow further rusting? I’ve also got a weird creaking sound but that’s for another day and it never fails that I can’t replicate it at the dealer.

Dude, that's nothing. GM and Chevy's roll into their 1st oil change in the NE with more rust than that.
