Thanks krs2fur,
I've seen a couple of plug builds with the generic 4 pin plug, but was hoping someone had a stock remote before I tore it apart and rebuilt the winch.

Low on the priority list for now

I have a 3 pin and a 5 pin, but no 4 pin.

I have a 4 pin controller. Look just like a Warn but it has a metal plate behind the switch marked Pierce. I think I found it on eBay years ago. Might try looking for Pierce controllers.

Also have an 8274 to rebuild. It has a 3 pin wire but no controller head. Looks like a 4 pin but the 4th pin is not there

Do all the four pin have what looks like a generic steel plug? I was given 5,000# Warn winch minus the hand control. This was probably over twenty years ago. Bought the five pin controller. Plug is molded. See pictures of other plug with a molded end. If the steel four pin will come apart to wire an easy solution might be to buy a five controller and wire it the generic plug.
My 73 FJ40 came with a winch made from a military jet engine starter. Would have to check but believe it that four pin jack. Haven't the controller in years but cord looks like it was made from an orange extension cord.

Yeah it looks like a regular extension cord. I ordered a five pin controller and the plastic plug that mounts to the control box. I might just change out the whole thing since it was already shipped through Amazon. Thanks for replying.

Anyone know where you can find the NUT that goes on the back of the 4 pin remote?
Have a good remote, but the nut holding the wire is broken.
