Please forgive my Warn ignorance, the Ebay ad says will fit a 3 or 5 prong plug? Are you familiar with this working for a 4 prong plug?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say I don't think the 3 or 5 will fit the 4.......

I don’t know to be honest. 38626 is the Warn part number for the older 8274 winches. I just searched Warn 38626 on eBay. Apologies if it isn’t the right remote.

ALL OF THE Warn controllers, 4 or 6 pin plug, ONLY use 3 wires to control.

For the old 4 pin plug, that IS a 4 round trailer plug that you can get at just about ANY auto parts store, even some Walmarts.

If I remember correctly, the solenoids are GROUND switched. Meaning, one pin is grounded; and the other two control IN/OUT.

There's even a way to jumper the winch side with a DIME to control it without a remote.
