This truck is simply going to dominate...in form and function.

All the power...
All the articulation...
All the universality of utilitarian style/aesthetic...

If it were available as a production vehicle
right now, Mr T could sell as many as it could make.

Great Build....very jelly

What do you do when you want to paint a truck but have no area clean enough to use as a paint boot? You buy a 20 X 24 foot green house, of course. Has a white cover that lets in light, all I need to is cover the ends too and filter air in high on the shop end and out low on the opposite end. Plenty of room for the truck plus racks with doors, fenders etc.

It has convinced me to go as big as I can when I add on to the shop, to fit a paint booth arrangement. When that happens this greenhouse will be used to store extra hay, extra Land Cruisers. something.

When we first bought this place I thought this shop was HUGE. I started this business in a metal car port tacked on to the back of a house I was renting. Had a canvas flap on the open end. It had a dirt floor that ran down hill and water ran across the floor when it rained. We called the shop "A River Runs Through It". It attached to a walk in basement, I had standing tools and a bench in there. Even had a bathroom with a shower in the basement.

We are planning on an addition in 2019-2020. I am thinking as big as I can afford and the county approves.

Paint booth and accessories are looking awesome Stan!! Super jealous as I get ready to do that in my driveway this weekend.

All in all I am pretty happy with how it worked out, I have a few small changes in mind for the next time.

The rolling racks make all the difference in the world. I was going to make some then found these for $90 each and free shipping from Tooltopia. Now all I need to do is figure out where to store them when not in use, thinking about a rack up high on a wall. Unused space any way.

The tail gate and hatch are hung from the structure frame.

I was not at all happy with the way the clear coat turned out (operator error) so I sanded it all back out to 600 and shot thee base/clear again. In the process of buffing it all out now.

Welcome to today's episode of Stan's cross fit garage. Today we'll be supporting this torque machine working your upper arms and back. Two times through.

You'll be doing this while performing one finger push-ups as fast as possible WITH a 100# plate on your back right....

HA!

I joke with my wife about opening a second business " Stan's Cross Fit Garage" One day buffing out the roof of a 60, next day up under a truck on a lift wire wheeling off what is left of the OEM under coating, arm up over your head for hours. To mix things up, next day installing 3/4" sheets of plywood on the inside of the barn. Next day four hours in front of the blast cabinet. So instead of hiring someone, I charge people to come and perform tasks that somehow seem like work instead of work out :)

I have a theory that people will pay to do things that they would not do for pay.

Hell during the winter this is what our gym owner does... This morning's workout consists of burpees while you are shoveling the walkways and parking lot. Ladies, strap on the ankle and wrist weights, Gentlemen strap on the weighted vests!

This is the worst dash I have seen to date. I read through a thread or two here about dash repair and watched some videos by the folks that supply the dash pad repair kits etc.

Removed carpet
Sanded with 80 grit to remove all glue and high spots
Dug out all loose material and big cracks
Filled all dug out areas with dash pad filler
Sanded flat, filled low spots, sanded flat again
1 wet layer of woven roving fiberglass cloth
1 brush on layer of resin for sanding out flat purposes

Using SEM texture then color of choice. I believe that the fiberglass layer will prevent future cracks.
