Jesus thats an insane amount of time! I never got one of my orders. which was a starter bolt and stud. now the vehicle that it was for has been passed on.
I was confused when I saw Matt's account deleted. He's certainly an interesting guy. He would "advertize" in all kinds of threads, sometimes in some pretty strange ways. I do feel like he has a particularly impressive and unique knowledge set.
I might be the only one to have ordered the 3FE high pressure hose. My only order from him.
The part looked good and works fine. I kind of regret putting it on because the tiny amount of weeping I had before wasn't worth the cost/effort in fixing it.
I think there's no comparison with Witt's End, though. Witt's End did deliver products, but was way more scammy. I think Matt had some communication issues and was certainly not timely about sending orders out. I think mine took at least a month.. would have to look back at what it is.
But, Matt was always nice in all of our interactions. It takes a lot of different skills to pull off a business and it's rare to find one person with all of them. Hopefully, he'll be able to come up with a working strategy as I believe that he's well intentioned.
I've been away from Mud for about 18 months, but I kept seeing ToyotaMatt's name come up when people were hunting for parts.
We've always had a few community members who could source Toyota parts through their jobs or connections. I reached out to those folks more than once and always appreciated the help. Matt seemed to fill that role while I was gone.
His name came up enough in threads that he clearly built some kind of market position here. That probably brought more volume than a one-person operation could handle .... especially with the tariff and supply chain mess of this year.
I can't speak to what went wrong because I haven't ordered from him recently. But it sucks that people are left without their parts and money. And watching another parts source disappear hurts the whole community, regardless of how it happened.

What are you talking about ? The huge pile of parts Matt sent to get cad plated then flaked on paying his bill ? The mud member had to come on the forum and see if anyone would step up and buy the whole lot . I think one of the good vendors stepped up if I remember right and bought the whole lot.
I almost forgot all about this one thanks for the reminder about this @Spike Strip .
