How did this work out? What did you get? I am in the same boat and would prefer not to spend the 200 and some odd dollars that they want online for a new one...

worked great, didn't take too long either.

a 1x4 chunk of 1/8 rubber was just under 20 bucks. it comes off a 4' wide roll, so I just got a 1' slice. Was enough for the top, and the tub to top seal.

I used a grinder to sharpen the end of a 1/8 pipe nipple to use as a hole punch, a little spray glue on one side and slapped er together.

Haven't driven in the rain yet to see if I have any leaks, but I intend to put a bead of black sealant around the outside anyways, so I'm not too worried.

I figger the extra 180 bucks can be spent pretty well elsewhere..;)

good question....I haven't measured either

pretty much stock length for the rear of a 40, or slightly longer, but I'll get a measurement.

mine're completely pooched, blown, leaky, rusted out etc, so there's really not much point in me leaving them on there, just being lazy.

Guy looking for glass for early drivers door...

so I went into the local dealer and asked about the trans mount... got quoted $209 part # 12371-58021

Called a dealer south of the border same part number : $85 US ... And they're willing to mail it to me... :)

gotta love it...canadian toyota dealers are buttraping swine.

I have 2 extras of those things that are separating. often wondered if I could clean them up , squeeze in some 5200 and clamp it in a press for a week. I may have to try it just for s***'s and giggles next time I have a tube of that wretched stuff open.

I figured if I'm going to build a brand new cross member thats all shiny and properlike... i should at least start with a non seperated mount :P ... and i got pissed off and welded the crap out of the last one...

bet that's nice and comfy...:D

last time I made a crossmember, there were two rubber mounts available, one that was flat on the bottom, and one that was all angled and awkard...flat one is way easier for homegrown crossmembers.:hillbilly:

from the EPC:
12371-58021 is listed as "INSULATOR, ENGINE MOUNTING, REAR NO. 1", and applies to 88/08-90/01 3B,13BT..BJ7#..MTM
this part also supersedes 12371-58020 for the 84/11-88/08 BJ7#

17173-58010 is listed as "GASKET, EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD", and fits many Toyota models with B, 3B, 13BT engines - I assume this isn't it...

I'll pass on both... i prefer the opposite... you keep it... and look up my parts!

soooo...in the drawer in the shed it stays...:flipoff2:

got a new massive item to ad to my wanted list. the little striker for amby doors on the rear sill.

Same as the one on the hardtop i think.

Somebody save me from carving one out of a hunk of metal.

Got one of the top ones...:D

Do you have any of the hatch strikers?

funny question... ryan was my top striker on my hard top ? :P

which hard top? one on your truck now? cuz yeah, there's one on there. and there was one on a top here too.
so we both have 1.

I might just carve up a bit of nylon or something for the bottom. got a few chunks around. might deal with purtying up some amby doors this weekend.
see if I can get the bottom gap to be less than the inch it is now...

wading through them all to find the best pair will probably take the longest.
