I am on the hunt for some 70 series rear axles, at least one for the long side.
Cam did you come across any when you were buying 60 axles after Whipsaw?

I think I have a long side shaft...

It'll be in a jumble of 40 axles and such, I'll see if there's one that's slightly longer..

Thanks
my number is 250-370-9517

Canadian BJ70 is semi-float - don't think the axle will fit JDM BJ74 ---all full floaters

have you looked at Home - Nitro Gear & Axle they have full float inner axles that you can cut to length... chromoly too...:D

What i have read about the chrome-moly axles are they are tough and don't break and great for high horsepower and competition applications, but they wear out quickly.

maybe they could make you a set that isnt chromoly... worth an email to them ..
never know..

Looking for a radiator that will fit a 70's series with 1HZ. Willing to use any radiator that will fill the hole. Universal, new, used, w/e comes first is in decent shape and will have enough cooling capacity. I all ready looked into getting mine re-cored for but for just short of 600 after tax I can't really afford that option.

Core size:
Width, Height, Depth 20.75", 20.25", 2.125"

Actual size w/tanks:
23", 24.5", 2.75"

25" to top of fill cap

Bottom outlet hose on RH side, inlet on top LH if looking at it from fan side.

Price range depending on what comes up: barter, 0-$500 for something new.

*Keep in mind the truck is being turbocharged...*

see where stephen got his aluminum one from.... 40 series might work... couple inches smaller on width...

Just go to lordco and talk to nick... ask to see the northern rad book... it lists all their generic ones by size in aluminum. I"m pretty happy with mine it seems well made and pretty tough. Plus it was the exact size i needed.

Price was around $200 for a new one :D

Im on the hunt for IFS front end bits. Everything on the spindle + the spindle. Callipers would be nice but not necessary.

ROB..... doing an SAS on the 4runner? Axle for IFS?

Anyone got a hood spear for a 70s split hood 40? Even one i can look at &/or measure?

I'm likely going to make a billet one... but seeeing or having a real one is another option.

I have one you can look at ,measure etc,or i could remove it for you to borrow to use as a template.

i have one also...

Thanks guys... Is your's also attached to the hood, Adam?

If I can get accurate enough information, I may even make one out of brass and have it chromed... :D

Now if you could make the Tbird emblem too, that'd really be cool.

I almost got one a few years back but I made the mistake of telling the dude I didn't actually own an FJ25 so he wouldn't sell it to me.

A solid one shouldn't dent...:D although it'll need more polishing to keep it shiny.:hillbilly:
