Used Vic. people seem to think their CR*P is gold! Or is it me?

There's a newish ( probably been a couple years now) cruiser guy near me too.

Has a few 40 series in his yard, one looks SOA, and kinda familiar from somewhere...I keep threatening to stop by when I see someone in the yard, but hasn't happened yet.
I stopped and talked to him one day. He's aquiring as much as he can on the cheap. I think he's got a couple of running 40's.
But all are a bit rough, he is a Toyota guy and seems to know his stuff.

It looks like it needs more than the floor replaced. Punctuation would help a lot to understand what’s going on though.

But they’re welded… have you seen the price of welding rods these days?

And it has a rare upgraded birfield bearing… I’ve never even seen one of those before.

And they are both trussed and reinforced.

Not to mention the wonderful Warn hubs.

Plus… despite all the rust and crap ‘Patina’ they’ve never been used…. ;)

By his pricing my rig is worth $150,000. No lowballing.

Looks like the old “half door” treatment, but on the tub 🤷‍♂️

Can’t say I ever seen that before.
It even has square rear corners on the fiberglass box... but it's all original.

'Original', perhaps used in this sense... (with due credit to Oxford Words)
"not dependent on other people's ideas; inventive and unusual."
Similar: innovative, creative, imaginative, novel, unusual, unconventional, unorthodox, unfamiliar, unprecedented, disruptive, unique. 🤪

Not used Vic but $500 USD? Must need to buy more crack.

I was thinking the same thing, see them in Mud classifieds for that kind of money every time. Rare items get top dollar. Wonder how many got thrown out over the years when the 80's checker plate craze hit.

Dude,

Check flea bay… try $700 usd.

Dunno who needs to see the dash that bad at night.

🤣🤣🤣
I guess at $500 usd it’s a steal.

When I did a search I found a mud member who was selling 3D printed stainless steel covers for $100… a back wouldn’t be that hard to figure out somehow.

For .60 a brick I’d want them loaded. You’d be lucky if you could find someone who’d tear down the wall for $60/hour.

Do they charge you for all the bricks that get broken?

That wall looks pretty solid.

This felt worthy of reviving this thread.

It's a BJ70. Looks like any other bj70, but costs more.

In case you wanted to zoom in further on a 35k frame...

Credit for doing the "resto" in his living room tho. Must need the money for the divorce.

Heh, some pretty high hopes there; definitely 24k material for this thread.

I've been noticing most cruisers on f-book are seeing price reductions now; or just plain not moving. I think the days of 'covid stupid spending' are coming to an end....finally. People are feeling the crunch of high interest rates and general cost of living I think.
