very cool pics J. thanks for posting them up. Looks like you had a nice crowd. So how was the maiden voyage? big difference rolling down to URE with no A/C and no supercharger. Looked like a blast though.

and no leather, and no matching tires, and a lapbelt bolted to a stellar floorboard, etc etc. it was good. The broken steering shaft sucked, so i spent several hours under the truck and steve got to hike rocky mtn loop and ended up only got one trail in. but getting out was priceless. Its a whole differnt type of wheeling; granted ive never wheeled leaves before, or a SOA, but it was interesting. I think the puckometer hit 13 once or twice:eek:

oh and you gotta lock the doors, but you knew that;)

Yeah, radios will have to happen at Cullowhee. I had mine, but had accidentally left it back at the Outpost. We had a newbie in front of the pig, so I think he was more concentrated on driving than watching....and next thing we knew, no piggie. Sorry about that. At least we weren't too far in and you guys had another truck.

I had a great time yesterday, kind of an eventful day with Jasons piggie breaking on the trail and my 40..........well lets just say it got real good gas mileage on the way home. But it was good to meet some new people and see a few familiar faces.

Steve, speaking of good gas mileage, me and J were talking last night and we wonder how much gas is in your tank? :)

Yeah when J called me this morning and asked me that it really made me start to wonder, but the gas gauge has always been dead on before, so I went out to check things out, turned the key over and it started right up and it ran like a champ. I drove it up to the car wash and sprayed off the URE dust and it ran great all the way there and back. I did go ahead and change the fuel filter though, Im wondering if the wheelin' may have stirred up a trash in the tank and maybe it was pulling some of that up.

And no alt belt or even a bolt to hold it. lol.

Looked like a fun time.

"Tippy B*tch" Priceless.

dagnabbit, you caught me!!! that was a mock up from last week; i did end up putting that gm alternator on since my voltage regualator went out and noone seemed to have one late on a friday afternoon ???

Hey found out some good news about the tire that went down on dickey bell, no cuts or holes, must have just rolled a beed.

That is good. Probably aired down too much and rolled it over enough to pack it full of talcum powder. That's why I don't wheel with my 33x9.5 AT's....too tall and narrow to air down much at all.
Wait, didn't I sell you some wider tires? Where were those?

 Damn, dude!! I feel like a total a**!!!!!!

Just getting to check mud now and reading about your plight.

When / where did this go down?????

I have pics of you getting to the top of the "pre-Kodak" ledge and we spoke about how much I beat the crap out of my IPO skid plate on said ledge...

Next thing I know, we're waiting for jeepers to clear Kodak, checking lines and I realize no Piggie in the rear of the lineup.

I walked back behind the last cruiser and continued to said ledge all the while looking for fluid on the ground (only saw a small area that looked like a figure 8). Didn't see you, thought you bailed for some unknown reason  and now know why...

Sorry Jason, you deserved more help than that. My sincere apologies to both you and Steve, that blows. Communication is obviously key and I'll admit that my 2-ways had no battery and my CB was quiet. I'd guess we spent well over an hour at Kodak, a few hundred yards up the trail.

EDIT: Added one of said pictures, at said ledge. Killer Piggie dude.

EDIT 2: 'Nother pic for of Killer Piggie.

Steve - that's great news! Awesome 40 man, it turned some heads for sure.

Let me know if you or anyone you know needs tickets for the game this Thursday, I have some extras.

No worries now andy; we all got out safe, but next group ride should take 5 minutes for some key group wheelin info about safety, communication, etc. This happened at said ledge before kodak; when the group procedded we joined and about flopped as the wheels were all the way right and the steering wheel was straight? no horn and no other radios than those in the piggy. I just looked at the map real quick and told steve the way we had come was shorter; i didnt realize we were just below kodak! the figure 8 was the fool loading the broke down 4 wheeler.

Man, so sorry to hear that. You're right about the 5 minute debriefing next ride!!! I added another pic in my previous post of the swine.

Yeah Andy if you have a couple of extra tickets I'll take them, just let me know what I owe you.
