The lens swap is not difficult, it's just time consuming for the first time. You will need to open the headlights and remove the shroud. Once the headlight is bare you unscrew the lens retainer and change out the lens. I'd advise blocking the squirrel finders, the clear lens make them huge rectangles.

You will need to space out the TSX lens 2mm, and use a o-ring to secure the lens. I would say 2-3 hours for the job. As always, the first headlight will take the longest.

Here are some pictures of the journey. I'm not forcing you to do this, but it is the easiest way to drastically improve the low beams without cutting the projector out and replacing it. That takes about 20 hours for both headlights.
What does something like this cost?
Do you buy used tsx projectors?

I will throw out that the headlights in my LC were converted to HID by the PO. They surprised me just how good they are. He installed Morimoto 2.0 w/ Apollo 3.0s. These headlights are as good as my other vehicle which is a 2017 with factory installed LED headlights.

*edit* I just realized that these might not fit the stock 98-05 housings. I also have the one piece Depo headlights too. The Depo headlights might be one of the best cosmetic upgrades for the LC though. I had never realized how much the 2 piece headlight design dates the LC until I got my vehicle with the Depos. It really modernizes the truck in a very very good way.

Does anyone have any experience with led Autovizion plug and play led lights?

I got a set for my 2000 lx470. I had to modify the clips to get them to fit and the back of the lights/fans seam to get really hot. Not sure if they are worth keeping.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

What sort of life are others getting out of their Philips HIR1s? I only got about 9 months before both failed - and that's with very little high beam driving, maybe the DRL 1/2 voltage promotes reduced life? These bulbs were purchased through candlepower so I'm assuming they weren't cheap knock offs. I'll give the vision plus' a try next and see how long they last.

@PADDO asked this question several years back and I’d like to see if anyone has any long term feedback on these bulbs?

Good and relevant question regarding longevity of the high performance bulbs. I never got a response and gave up on the bulbs advertised as +x lumens, y% brighter, z% better visibility and went to a hybrid HID set up (Xenon depot in OE projector) and have since gone to a Morimoto mini H1 set up with Luke’s adaptors. Night driving is now as it should be.
