I think this has been discussed before but shaping the spring steel is the biggest problem. I can't remember who was going to try and make them but that seems to be the challenge.

I believe it was @Weber Sarge who was working on these as well as the crank handle clips and bumper brackets. May be he will chime in on his progress...

Has anyone mentioned rear heater cores yet? I just looked around, the prices on good cores are getting pretty nuts. I know they still pop up new, and some can be repaired, but I figured I'd add it to the list, and see what others have been doing.

^^^ for the heater cores, I've just bought 2 or 3 extras as they've popped up for sale over the years- I never have found any new ones.

The closest I have found to oem rear heater cores are ones that the Brit stuff run... made by clayton

The heater line inlet and outlet is wrong ... but... the core is circular

Late 40's 50's chevys also had the circular heater cores ... rounds but air travels the wrong way on them

Both you can get the cores ... but... expensive

Since we can't solve the heater for now, let's talk AC...
With a hint from @Wes and @Landpimp in this thread, I set out to see if Big Foot exists. Lo and behold, you can still get a new in the box AC controller from Toyota, albeit only of the 24v variety.

yup, the Mega used a ton of leftover bits from lots of models(mostly 80 series), I was pretty shocked to see the AC controller though.
