Ive still never been able to find the plastic grommet for the headlight adjustment screw for 78 bibs and earlier. Very simple little plastic piece.

Rear folding door gaskets for the early hard tops might be something to look into, Mine are trash and I can't find any.

It can definitely be 3d printed. Probably best out of ABS. If i still have one in one of my bibs i will try and extract it but at this age they are extremely brittle. I could probably just make up some of the dimensions and draw it in 3d cad. No time at the moment though. It would be a great open source project

Is this what you're referring to? Good luck getting that bad boy off. Looks like one of those one way in no way out type pieces. When the plastic wasn't so brittle may have pushed in nicely.

I'm trying to do the rivnut replacement just need to get a longer and stronger bolt to hopefully clamp that on.

I welded stainless nuts to the back side of my headlight buckets and made new screws w/groove to match from 18-8 stainless stock . I intentionally pinched the threads a bit on the nuts with a center punch so they lock into place - been running them for 2yrs and haven't had to re-adjust them yet .

good luck with that! i must've spent 30 bucks buying different fastners.. never found one that fit. I ended up doing something similar to what weber did.

Here's what it looks like on an '80. I doubt a 3D printed piece will work, since it needs to provide tension.

78 and earlier is a round hole, 79 and later is a square hole. you can still get the 79 and later ones from the dealer.
