I'm a newb to LS motors.
Do LS motors not have a fuel pressure regulator built into the rail? I was toying with adding an inline fuel pressure gauge past the filter and before the rail for monitoring if needed. Kelly what pressure is the pump your installing? Stock LS pump from that motor? We can add anything needed but need to start somewhere. Sat goals are in and out from tank, soft lines to frame, hard lines down frame, soft to filter, filter to motor and return. if a regulator is needed we can easily order one and install it past the filter and before the rail. Kelly's LS has a return line so am hoping it regulates at the rail and will not need an inline regulator with return.

Ok, cool. If it has a return from the rail it’s got a regulator on the rail. I couldn’t remember which engine was being used. Most LS motors do not have the regulator on the rail. I was going to make a different filter suggestion if that was the case with the motor you were using.

I had to verify my research.. This LS has a feed and return (actual motor being used in pic), In my research will not need an external regulator.
Not entirely sure we will get it all plumbed Saturday but have to have a goal. and right now the goal is to get this fuel system plumbed. Not sure i have all the bits to plumb the steering hoses. So even if we get it plumbed not sure we can fire it up unless we try and loop the power steering system.

@tornadoalleycruiser That line in your hand in that pic is a EVAP line. Those are Gen 4 fuel rails, returnless. All of those Gen 4 stainless rails are. Easiest/best option (as long as you aren't going forced induction later) that everyone does is the corvette regulator mounted near the tank and just run the feed up to the motor. Can easily get GM/6AN adapters to convert all the GM quick-connect fittings. It's a fuel filter too.

Noted. Changes the plan slightly but things are still going to move forward. Glad i'm learning on @2fpower 's LS swap! One is in my future just not yet.

Congrats on a productive day. I'll post some part numbers and tech later, power steering was the easiest thing to do when you have the correct parts in the stash. Thanks for lunch @2fpower was great hanging out. This is earls 16mm high pressure at box to an high pressure 45 fitting. AN out fitting at pump and another 90 an fitting. Used an fj60 return fitting on the box and transmission hose for return. Will plumb a Ford transmission cooler to the power steering return later after it runs. Congrats Kelly. I think your on your way. We also plumbed the fuel system.

Fuel plumbing, intank pump, used stock suction feed and cut the barb off. Measured and used compression fitting to an. At the fuel rail we used quick connect to an6. Aeroquip socketless fitting to a bulkhead on the firewall.

3/8 compression to the an bulkhead fitting. Ran 3/8 alum line under the body to the rear. Fuel filter/ pressure regulator mounted in rear of vehicle. One like this.

Special shout out to Georg @orangefj45 for answering a tech text on a sat. 6l90 to splitcase the adapter spudshaft had no provision for a stake. Was grind one or locktite. Note to self, check b4 you assemble.

And many thanks to @tornadoalleycruiser for the motivation and the time yesterday to get this project moving along. Also glad he took pictures…. As evidently I was heads down working doing whatever he told me! Today is working on installing the harness, install the starter the alternator and the new oxygen sensors.

Question…. I need to get some sort of new cold air intake for the 2011 L96 LS engine. The original one was crushed in the wreck. Would like the thought of it to be able to convert it to the original airbox if possible. Couple questions here. First off, anyone have a kit they like with steel/stainless/aluminum parts so I can weld on it?

Second, can I use a stock air box - same as an 80 series -does it provide enough air for the 6.0, or should I just use the filter that comes with them and make some sort of box like I have seen on 80 series rigs?

You shouldn't need to buy anything. Just unclip the solenoid from the fuel rail

So I took off the eve app in the line that I left with the hole in the intake manifold. What do I do with that?

In regards to the heater lines what do people use to adapt the size to the smaller Land Cruiser size? Actually same question for the brake booster vacuum as well…. I did figure out you can easily remove the plug in the back of the intake manifold and replace it with a piece to get vacuum. This truck originally had hydroboost brakes.
