Well we are running out. I had a thought. What if we had a revamp of our current sticker. Do a contest. Announce and have a prize for the winner at the annual meeting in Sept.

My thoughts are just to freshen it up not completely redesign it. I think Travis did a great job in the first place.

What do you think?

'bout time

I'm no artist but I can vote. :grinpimp:
I think a fresh new logo would be cool.
Our original logo is extra sweet but getting dated.
We could get submissions and vote on new logos
prior to the annual meeting so as to have
them ready for distribution at the big meet....perhaps.

I like the current logo personally. I also think if we keep things the same over time it allows them to become more recognizable.

The noob here likes the current logo and thinks we should think about branding - if we change our logo too much as we grow larger people won't recognize us - but if we are going to change our logo the sooner the better and keep the logo as long as possible.

Good point Alex we already have the embroidery and also other shirts with the logo on it.

What if y'all do both? Keep the logo, but design a few new stickers incorporating the old logo. This way you get spruced up stickers with the tried and true logo.

Just the thoughts of a noob though...

would it be worth thinking about redesigning the logo to incorporate GA where we have a good many members? You could keep the same pic and colors but pull the GA outline into the logo...

As much as I like the GA guys no way. Our club was and is still immediately focused on the carolinas where there were no other clubs. We also dont want to step on the toes of the GA club.

Keep it. I like it. I know UC is based in the Carolinas. That is why I have a GA Cruisers sticker waiting to go on...because that is for GA :).

What he said. We have UC members in FL and other states. I do not want to step on any toes.

My only real thought was to add something like a date when the club was established or something. This is just a thought nothing set in stone. We have about 5 monthly meetings to hash this out.

Agreed.

I could see an establishment date going on there that could be pretty nice. But I think any overall or large scale revision is unwarranted.

You mean that's a map of SC on the logo? :grinpimp:

I thought it was Alpharetta

I need a geography lesson...

No need to change. It looks great on my truck just as it is. (est date would be a good addition)

I agree with the majority. Keep the current logo intact. Just yesterday while at Toyota of Easley, the Sales Manager came out to slobber on my :princess: Cruiser, saw my sticker and said he had met the Vice President of the organization. Went on to ask questions about club activities, family involvement, trail rides, etc.

He recognized the logo, not the text. Adding inception date would be a cool idea though.

See you at GSMTR.

I agree with keeping the current logo - I have very few stickers on my vehicles - and the UC sticker is proudly one of them.

I would suggest that you do logos and stickers for special events - like your participation in GSMTR, your annual event, etc. This gives the can't sit still impatient artists in the the club a chance to express themselves and we all benefit by receiving cool krap :flipoff2:.

Agree, the brand is strong. Like the idea of event stickers. How about a new design to be voted on for an ''annual'' sticker with the year on it to be distributed at the annual event in september?

I say get a re-supply of the original. "Branding" means something.
Then a long-term hashing over of a 'freshening' might be OK, no rush to judgement.
Mickey Mouse has changed a bit since 1929 but we still recognize him as Mickey Mouse.
I have some ideas but for now I think we should re-order so there are plenty around-then consider some updating, but NOT re-design.

Just $0.02 from a freshman member.
