Nice job to everyone that posted their setups. Thanks for sharing!

Installed my Blackhawk holster in the Tuffy today.

Bolted in, not removable.

Nice, detailed write up here. I took delivery of a tuffy console a couple years ago and sent it back due to its hugeness and how far aft the cup holders had it sitting. I don’t remember receiving an arm rest cushion though, was yours included? I’m still contemplating a larger, lockable console though mostly for reason you wasted no time using yours for. I escaped CA and am now legal to carry and defend my family in 38 states so I’m digg’n your latest photos. Bravo!

Thanks
Mine came with armrest, just going to recover it with different color

My Tuffy is 8" wide so fits perfect and I moved cup holders above so console is forward for the right fit.

Added a LED "puck" light in the tuffster....simple, bat operated, stick on, no running wires...

Used some toolbox tool liner for bottom of the Tuffster cup holder...no more cup sliding ;)

Just reupholstered the Tuffster console lid pad, so much better than the thick spice colored one....

I just stumbled on this thread when a '93-94 tablet mount search went awry. I definitely like the price point compared to the Delta version. Those that have the cupholders in the front; how are they at holding the various cups, and what about scraping knuckles when implementing the "e-brake slide" that is a very important flex move at the mall and quiet cul-de-sacs?

Those installs look really good. I like the Delta, but not the $735.00 starting price. Then If you want to add a vinyl arm cover it’s extra $139.00. I know they have to run a business and I don’t have to buy it. I guess they have no other competition so they can charge whatever they want. Then who knows when your going to get it.

I like Delta products, and I've seen and handled their center console in person. My build style however is cheap-ass haggling sob here, and throw money at it there. Center console lives in the cheap-ass column.

That’s a smart strategy, I have taken a step back on my LC. Luckily I have most everything rebuilt or replaced. Now instead of putting money in my LC I am saving it towards a new vehicle.

Tuffster Cup holders are great and there’s plenty of room for not hitting ebrake if you get the size that I used, the 8” …luv this box and the price..😉

Replace the lock. I’m told it takes about six seconds to pick.

So, I take it that the 8" wide is what most of us are installing vs the 10" wide console? I thought I read someone is using a 10" version but not sure how they're managing the parking brake handle operation!

You have a working parking brake??? I have the 10"(pics toward the beginning) . It's pretty tight to the brake, but it's usable. I'm also running different seats so that may have helped. I'm glad I did it because it makes an excellent arm rest being that much closer

Yes I have a working parking brake! I am also running LR seats but not sure how that plays into matters. My seats do come with their own armrests so I'm not looking for an armrest per se, but more of a real usable storage ability.

As I'm looking down at my parking brake, if I had a 10-in wide unit, I can see my right wrist would have to rotate in an uncomfortable way in order to push the release button, and pull up on the handle.

Oh nice, I have those same seats that I want to swap into mine. How do you like them? I have jeep wj seats rn. Originally I grabbed a p-brake setup from a 2nd gen 4runner. The pull and turn one in the lower dash. Was going to adapt that, but the factory one cleared even if it's a little cumbersome, I didn't feel the need to use the 4runner setup, but it's still an option.

Another 8" thread; Tuffy #012:

I really love my LR seats as they're WAY more firm and supportive than the OEM seats even with updated bottom cushion.

Would you mind taking a bird's eye pic of your setup so that I can get a sense of the clearance between the e brake handle and your console?
