"klein stuck" ;) (sorry, no umlaut on my keyboard)

i wondered about that. but that would make sense, it would attach like the piece just behind the door opening .

pic stolen from ocdbeetle's soft top thread.

You are talking about part # 65928-60010 Toyota Fastener Tarpaulin (twist locks). They are about $8.10 each from Toyota.

Thanks Peter!

For holding down the center section, I think the twist locks would work good there.....I've seen a couple pics where a strap/footman loop are used but think the twist locks would give a better, thought out install.....easier on the eyes......

Any ideas on how many?
We can use the black over brass unless you just want to go with the Toyota......

.....
On the ambulance doors I made another construction to put glass windows in.

.... seems this guy did the same with his ambulance doors and put glass windows in.
Thought mine is unique.... ;)
...I`m wrong ... first time this year :D

peter that rig was imported by paul in canada...AFAIK they were actually plexiglass as the oem softdoors and the side windows were rivited windows...rare and stock

Looks like glass.
I stripped my ambulance doors, fixed aluminium sheet on the frames, cut the holes for the glasses and glued the vinyl back on them, nobody thinks that`s not factory ;)
Great troopy pics Johnny like the grey colored top most.

as peter stated the area circled had the twist locks...or...commonly known as "Common Sense" fasteners :)

well, everyone knows... there is nothing common about common sense;)

the pics you have posted up are gold. i also checked your "canvas care" thread.

i'm doing the old "right click, save" as there are a few angles and glimpses of areas i have not been able to find elsewhere.

just to clarify, i am converting a hard top troopy to a custom made soft top using factory (modified) bows, and trying to achieve a "factory" look.

soft tops are rare in Australia, and there is not much to go by here.

i know little about cruisers, and even less about soft tops.;) i am grateful for all the info so far.

cheers
