the catches are slide lock adjusted for proper depth.
rock solid.

you had me worried for a min.

i made them from 3" solid rubber, they will have a SS sleeve (similar to factory) that will be inserted through the rubber between the upper and lower large steel washers. this will stop the rubber from being able to be compressed and will allow the bolt to be torqued properly.

installing the factory snorkel...
no template came with the kit, i knew this when i purchased it from Micheal at West Coast Cruisers. the factory air box wasn't included since he was out of stock, fortunately i had one sitting here for another truck of mine.

make a template
locate it properly
tape off the sheet metal to protect it ...

drill the 4 corners with the proper radius bit.
cut out with a jig saw and clean with a die grinder
fit the rubber connector...

install the steel retainer
install the snorkel (notice i used the nutzerts with SS bolts)
install the factory snorkel air box.

done.

next is the wiring for the dash pod.
front and rear e/locker wiring
drop the bottom section to find a switched lead and ground with plug
the plug made up...

next was running the leads for oil and water sensors as well as dialable light control feed.
test the engaged lights for the e/lockers
test fit the pod before moving forward. the clearence is 1 mm top and bottom...

adding more wires to the mess
boost feed
pyro feed
marking which wires is which should the owner need to remove and modify or repair
running the feed through a loom and under the glove box...

Malumutt crossed with rough collie ... big lovable mutt, he was my wheeling buddy till his hips started acting up.
he still goes everywhere with me but on the trails. both of the dogs are going with me to Calgary to deliver the troopy next month.

he has such a deep loud bark/growl and a wicked scary "ugly face" that i have no issues with trespassers on the property getting out of their vehicle.
but then i don't have people visiting that i don't trust or like. where i live everyone looks out for each other, it is a great feeling.

well, i decided to try something i have not done before ... exhaust work.
after getting permission from the owner i located some 16 gauge SS 2.5" pipe to work with ... damn that stuff is not cheap
i had an idea of how to run the pipe to keep it high and safe.

so one hole needed enlarging, it is reinforced by the bellybar so strength will not be compromised.

so this is a start...

so along the frame and up and over the driveshafts. tons of room around them and between the frame cross member and the t/case.
the front section that came with the turbo kit from Radd Cruisers is an excellent piece of art but since we are going stainless might as well replace it will SS as well.
we will installing a second wall of SS 3" pipe where the exhaust goes through the cross member, where it runs between the cross and the t/case, where it runs next to the shock rubber boot, and anywhere else needed.
there will also be clamps where needed to be able to remove sections.
the hangers will be quality units.
also the SS magnaflow muffler will be installed between the rear shock area and the drilled hole cross member.

of course the whole taped exhaust will go to a profesional welder to be tig together.
