Spur of the moment run to Beef Basin with my buddy Dwight and Jarrod, the new owner of my LX470.

The weather forecast chased us out of Beef Basin so we ended up on Butler Wash.

Never ready to leave...

We were on Butler Wash and Comb Wash last week Mon-Thur! It was absolutely perfect camped on the Comb Ridge again, which is a favorite! The weather was perfect and we left with storms moving in behind us!

We REALLY want to plan a trip with some HDC and go on some of the trails that we have never ventured on out there. Maybe early Spring 2026… I’ll start a thread around that soon!

I was going to do Beef Basin last week too. I ended up getting soaked off the Burr Trail.

We rescued the cyclist who got in over his head climbing out of Beef Basin.
The Mercedes were part of a rally. Parked at our air up spot.

This trip was out of my control. I have a sister/2 that just retired and moved to Cedar City. I took the scenic way over there.
