It is a great trip. Took me and Todd a week and we flew out. Driving out and back....3-4 days on each side. No chance for me, but it was a great experience. Nothing like the party at Rubicon Springs.

One thought.....

Fly to Reno and drive rental as far to Cadillac Hill as possible. Pack "backpack" light.

Have Georg and crew come pick you up. Easy money. We did it 3 times while I was there for people.

I can get three weeks off in june if a bid right. I got the wrong rig and the wrong wife for this trip. Anybody want to trade?

awesomeness....

George wanted to ask- you know my hauling setup:
3500 Dodge Dually, 36' Gooseneck- I have 26K plates on dodge.
Hauling to Moab I scaled & was at 24K

Question I have is what is CA laws about me hauling into CA & would their be any issues coming to CA w/ My setup.....

Ive thought about having my dad drive my setup out & back; good to have a retired dad but I dont want any issues for him coming to CA.

Let me know.

Oh the things I could say....

The only way I could do this trip is to find an empty spot on a trailer and split diesel. I'd love to go and can get a week off for sure. Only got 45 days of leave!

I am in!:hillbilly:

The 80 is ready! She needs some tires but I can get 'er new shoes for this here trip.
I also found the problem with my steering, that was the reason I did not ran'er at the crawl...

My 40 is getting there but not street legal... Darn it!

I'll be looking this here show very closely!

It takes a lot of talent to do the Con in a 100 series IMO. It is tight. Not a hard trail, but there are enough places that a wide 100 will get creamed.

80's do great. FJ Cruisers do well, they just need lots of spotting.
