Well.... Not a cruiser... completely different build but I've been wanting one for years.

Found a 100 year anniversary 1952 Studebaker Commander Starliner hard top. Single year model.

Love the bullet nose so bought a donor for the front clip.

Motor, transmission and 9" Ford third are ordered!!

52 was the original owner. Been right here in Redding all it's life. Motor popped in 1966 and the parked it in the field behind the barn.

Specs on the Stude engine-=== 408ci stroker. 4.030" bore 4.000" stroke, steel crank, forged pistons, roller camshaft provides .528 intake/546 exhaust lift with 221 intake/236 exhaust duration at .050 with a 110 degree lobe separation. Aluminum 200cc heads 2.05" Intake / 1.62" exhaust with roller rockers. 885CFM custom built double pumper carb.

513HP dyno at flywheel with 91 octane pump gas.

Stude weighed in at 3020# all original and I plan to shave at least 300# off it to cover my fat A$$!

Should be a FILTHY SLEEPER when finished.

Niiice .. sounds like a fun project after building endless cruisers for all these snobs

I vote:
clear the patina, stock wheels chromed out.. cheater slicks, nitrous

Great find. If I remember correctly, there's a benefit having a bore and stroke almost equal? Is that a "square engine"? The days of hanging with motor heads was long ago.

I love taking up 6 parking spots to make the electricians that work across the street (supposed to part on street, but park in our lot) have to walk further to get to work.....

Better yet is when Ofer and Tallie come and park next to us.

LMFAO!!!

Great to see you guys today!
