Bluehawk, Great work! Looks like you have no problem taking on a project.

It's just a cheap generic Ebay emblem (shipped from Brazil) stuck below the stock emblem.

Thanks FL Cruiser, will have to check out eBay to see if I can find what I need. Sometimes I take on too many projects at one time. Hopefully I can finish one of them soon.

Super77, thanks. It is still a work in progress just like my builds. It still needs a few things done to it to call it done. Heat and air along with insulation in the attic area.

Well I got all but two of the body mount bolts out. Is it common practice to use thread lock on these. Any one got ideas to get them broke loose? I have the old H42, Smittybilt bumper, and the 1987 frame up for sale in the classifieds.

Got the last two bolts out of the body mounts. One of them actually broke in half. Started stripping the body of all of its odds and ends, with a little help from little man. Got a picture of him in action. Next step is to get it off the frame and put it on the rotisserie. More to come this week.

I have never used thread lock for body bolts. Doubt Toyota did on the 80s either.

Help from the little man is what got me through many late eves on the diesel swap. Best part was the smile in his face when we took our first trip in the beast when it was done.

Clint

well up on the list of things to get done this weekend, take the red body off the frame and put it on the rotisserie. Then start measuring and marking the top on where to cut it off. If I get it on the rotisserie, I will definitely post up some pictures.

well got the red body off of its frame. Next is to get it on the rotisserie and start doing some body work.

Good progress there! Little Man's hands will help with the hard to reach places for sure.

Rotisseries are sweet, aren't they? We used one to paint my new body. Makes coating the bottom sooooooooooo much easier.

I found the shift knob! I'll do my best to get it in the mail Monday.

Awesome Johnny, can't wait to get to the point Moonshine is. It must be a great feeling of accomplishment.

Yes sir, he loves to just come out to the garage and take parts off. Maybe one day he can drive it to high school.

It was very nice to meet you. I am glad, the cruiser is being repurposed. Here are some shots, of FL Cruisers other rig, for motivation.

That is sweeeeeet, can't wait to get mine to this point. Hope to be making measurements on the cruiser this weekend to start cutting. If anything, I will be finishing up the sand blasting on the frame. One day we will have to go wheeling:beer:

**** you and your toyota diesel sexiness!!

Mine isn't too sexy right now. Two cruisers and one huge pile of parts. Hope to be getting a little hotness soon. As with anything right now, money is tight.

With all the rain here in Knoxville, haven't had a chance to work on the frame. I did get the H55 trans scrubbed down and primed and painted in New Ford Grey. I know, Ford color on a Toyota. What the heck was I thinking. Couldn't find any other engine paint that I liked and that would go with what I was doing. :meh: Some before and after pictures.

Got the 5-speed shift knob today, it is awesome. Can't wait to get this project back together and back on the road. Thanks again Johnny for getting it sent to me.

I don't even recognize that transmission!

No problem man, glad you like it :D
