LuckyThanks guys. It's slowly getting there. Got an ARB locker for the rear and the axle housing has been powder coated. More to come for sure.
I just love this thread. Impressive as all get out. Stay the course you'll get there!
So I can't decide on using single stage paint or base/clear to paint with. I also thought about having a local company matching the paint and rhino lining it. What say the Mud Community ????
I think the answer to the paint question truly lies in your intended use for the 60. If you are planning to hit trails and dirt, then the Rhino makes sense. If it is more of a street cruiser, the two stage is your best bet. In this day I can't imagine that single stage is worth it.
Excellent looking build!
I guess it all comes down to your preference. If you do choose to paint it you might as well base/clear it. Doesn't take any more work than single stage and I find that it makes future touch ups easier than single stage.
Keep in mind that you can paint it now and spray it with liner later. It doesn't work out too good going from liner to paint.
After spending the weekend removing 10 year old rhino liner from my scrambler it is going to be difficult for me to say I like it very much right now.
Save the extra money and spend it on diesel fuel!
No offence to those that have done it (goss included), but to me, a fully lined rig does not look good.
I've seen it, contemplated doing my own and just cant get into it.
I wheel with a guy here in PA who Por15'd his entire fzj, and it looks good and is tough as heck.
