No offence to those that have done it (goss included), but to me, a fully lined rig does not look good.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion I guess :flipoff2:

Seriously though, I recommend single-stage paint or a bedliner product if you intend to take it offroad. Single-stage is easier to do touch-ups with, but bedliner products are much tougher overall. Make sure to select a bedliner product that has a smoother finish, like @reevesci used on Goss (monster liner), or like I used on Moonshine (raptor liner).

Thanks Johnny. I guess it all comes down to price and how much I want to spend. How's Moonshine been doing? I've checked in time to time to your ROTM? Its hard to keep up with everyones builds and do mine at the same time

Sweet, good to hear. May see if some club members want to get together this summer or fall and come over your way and do some trail riding.

Hell yeah!! I want to see if I can get out to Windrock this year too, so I'll make sure to keep you posted.

Just started reading your thread. I have an 85 60 that needs a lot of TLC. Not sure where to start. Know I will be doing a frame replace. Your thread is very motivating. Where'd you find the frame? What's the best approach to getting one? Contacts? (located in Louisville KY) thanks for sharing!!!!

I got my frame from ACC Toyota down in Georgia. Great bunch of guys down there. Look in the classifieds for someone parting one out near you. I think there is a guy in Sharps Chapel Tennessee on craigslist that might be parting one out. It is a wrecked one. Ask about frames in surrounding clubs also. Check out Upstate Cruisers in SC.

Got my frame, radiator core support, and skid plate back today from the powder coater.

Not much to post but got the rear leafs coated with Rust Bullet and painted with some satin black. Then attached to frame.

Gotcha, thanks. I think I will go with the base/clear when it is time to paint. More to come

Got more done on the brute today. Rear axle hung, traction bar, and brake calipers painted.

Just messing around with it today. Got the rear tires on and put the body on the rotisserie. Had a roll over today. Hopefully this will be the only time that will be upside down, lol
