Well after about 8 months we are back up and running and there is a huge interest. We currently have around 15 members and we seem to be getting more at every meeting.

The club dissolved in around 2000-2001. The club has been around since the late 70's early 80's. There is a lot of history with teh club and was one of the main clubs when TLCA was Formed. Also the club hosted the first rubithon.

This year so far, we have had 4 club events. We have ran Red, Coyote, Swamp, Mirror, Bald and in September we are running the Rubicon.

We will be signing up around 8 new members to TLCA and hopefully many more. We have the support of the local Toyota Dealership and holfing meetings there. We are in the process of becoming a TLCA chapter once again.

If You live in central California, then stop by one of our meetings. Meetings are held every third tuesday of the month at Bingham Toyota in Fresno at 7pm.

Here is our web page. It is just getting up and running and we are working on getting everything updated.

Cacy:

Let me know if you are interested in a Clubhouse corner on the 'MUD forum....congrats on getting things re-fired up!!

This will be great to have a link in the clubhouse corner for toys-4-fun. This will be a great way for us to be able to communicate with the other club members.

good trivia...

from Toyota Trails (M/A) ... thus chapter clubs

Beach N Toys
Gold Coast Cruisers
LA County Cruisers (LA Trail Crew)
MTA
PMC
SoCal TLCA
Toys on the Rocks

and the recent addition of Toys 4 Fun

ya, that would make 8 Chapter clubs.

although I notice Toyotally Awesome Cruisers must have let their Chapter status slip.

So what is the initiation/requirements to join the club?

In the club I'm in now you have to have a sponsor and attend 3 consecutive meetings, attend and participate in three club sponsored runs, one has to be an overnighter. They the other member Vote you in or not. After they vote in you get to pay your dues. Then you put the club logo on your rig. From there you ave to attend one run a year adn one meeting a year adn pay your dues.

No wonder (in my current club) members #'s are stagnant.

Right now we are trying to het the membership up so really if you come and want to be in the club you can pay the dues. This is the first year so we are trying to see what interest there is, whick seems to be a lot. These will be the requirements that will be started very soon, its just hard to vote people in when there is not any actual members.

APPLICANTS MUST:
A. Hold a valid drivers license and be at least 18 years old.
B. Show proof of at least minimum state required insurance.
C. Attend two (2) regular meetings, two (2) club runs, and one (1) club event in six (6) consecutive months.
D. Be voted in by the board of directors before a regular club meeting.
E. Agree to join CA4WDA.
F. Agree to join TLCA.

I understand

APPLICANTS MUST:
A. Hold a valid drivers license and be at least 18 years old.

Not A Problem

B. Show proof of at least minimum state required insurance.

No Problem

C. Attend two (2) regular meetings, two (2) club runs, and one (1) club event in six (6) consecutive months.

Not A Problem

Will these Runs and Events be posted here on MUD? Will the meeting always be in Fresno or will they rotate to north valley and south valley. I'm thinking Tulare one month, Kingsburg or Selma the next month and Fresno the following month, ect. This will be fair to all members so everybody has to drive one month or another.

D. Be voted in by the board of directors before a regular club meeting.

Not A Problem

E. Agree to join CA4WDA.

Not A Problem, already a member

F. Agree to join TLCA.

Not A Problem, Already a Member.

How about :
G. Vehicle must pass CAl 4 safety inpsection.
H. Vehicle must be street legal or have a Green Sticker.

We have already had a tech inspection and vehicles must pass the cal and tlca requirementrs. Really we go more by TLCA tech because they seem to be a little more strict.

The meetings are held a Bingham Toyota. Bingham is supporting the club by allowing use to use their break room. We are working with them, and hopefully we will be able to get them to help sponsor a event if we get it going. They seem to be very excited about the relationship. Me have had a few socials in the visalia area. I drive from Tulare every month.
