Ordered a new driver’s seatbelt in Oak off of Toyota Parts Deal PN 73220-60260-E0 BELT ASSY, FR SEAT for my 80 series. What I received was an obviously repackaged, and locked up, seatbelt in dark gray. I reached out to them and they responded with:

Their first response was dismissive:

“Part number 73220-60270-B0 is the superseding part number and is a direct replacement to part number 73220-60260-E0 within Toyota's catalog. They are interchangeable and will work on all of the same applications.

Although the website may not reflect the updated information, all of our parts are OEM and ship directly from dealerships. The dealers will update the part information prior to shipment.”

I’m responded again that the seatbelt sent to me was defective and non functional:

“We are sorry to inform you that your request has been denied due to the following reason(s):

The part(s) is non-returnable items due to it being, but not limited to:
- Seatbelt component or airbag”

I then flipped my smartass switch and replied that I wouldn’t return the item but I would still take a refund:

“Do be advised, this RMA will remain as was denied.”

I just asked them pointedly how they can justify not giving a refund after sending the wrong part that was also defective in damaged packaging.

Skipped the regular dispute process with the seller and immediately escalated straight to PayPal.

I’m going to bump this to the top in hopes that ToyotaPartDeal is monitoring. I’m going to get my money back. I’m an individual with too much time on their hands.

**** these guys. Sorry man.

I've been having a time with eBay and a T4R part where the seller punched in a tracking number to make sure they didn't get bounced, but took forever to ship it. Third time it's happened in the last 4-5 months. Once I get the part I'm deleting my account of over 20 years, I just don't have the patience for the scams and bs.

Toyotapartsdeal is not monitoring. They are owned by a very large technology conglomerate. They sell parts for many different makes and dealers, nationwide. You are actually not dealing with the selling dealership; you are dealing with a middleman.

The -B0 substitution is the correct supersession. Tan seatbelts haven’t been available for a 100 series since at least 2015, maybe earlier. If you talked to a real human, they would have been able to delineate that for you; Websites that sell trinkets, not so much.

That said, the fact that it’s defective is a problem.

All Toyota parts have a 1 year, unlimited mileage warranty. Toyota won’t warranty labor associated with said part, but they will warranty the part.

And the warranty is good at **any Toyota** parts department nationwide. Though, ideally, you want to go through the buying dealership parts department.

I figure as much about the monitoring and I didn't know about the color (I'm new to Land Cruiser ownership). That being said, it's still listed (or was) as Oak on their website.

The return address was for a dealership in New Mexico. I don't really care about the seat belt at this point, I'm just pushing for a refund. After surfing through the forum here, I see that I'm not the only one with issues. If they don't pay attention to the one guy that fights that's okay, but I'll sleep better at night and hopefully encourage others to take a stand as well.

Odd, I’ve read if you buy Toyota parts from discount sellers Toyota will not warranty. I’ve read that on MUD. I’m talking about Partsouq, Megazip, Yoshiparts etc.

If that is the case, parts are warrantied at any Toyota dealership that is great info🍻

Never tried in all honesty since I don’t buy my OEM parts in the US online and deal with only 1 Toyota dealership who never gives me any issues with returning parts or warranting them.

But what you say may be the case.

I don't a see a reason to buy from this site these days. Their prices are the same as dealers and when the 25% sale is going on, dealers are cheaper..

Yeah or a lot of independent shops. I was going to change my belts; local dealer quoted me $85 for all three, got them through CruiserMatts for ~$55 shipped.

Got movement. They agreed to issue a refund as long as I return the part (at my expense). I attempted to reply to PayPal, but at this stage I’m required to upload a tracking number to do so. I really don’t want to pay for shipping. I’ll take another day to try to figure out how to put it all on them.

Remember to use pirateship if you do end up paying for shipping.

Why is that? Genuinely curious.
Thanks

I just checked myself.

I was quoting a large 46x16x10 box of fender flares this week from OH to AL.
USPS is my usual cheapest route and they wanted about $60.
Just plugged the same into PirateShip and they quote UPS for $30!

thats pretty amazing.
