Spare tire mounted finally. Thanks @seapotato for the 1.25" spacer. Flipping the 70 spare tire mount and using a spacer works perfectly for mounting a 35x12.5R15 it appears. Left door *just* clears the tire when I open it. Tire *just* clears the bumper. And tire actually clears the rear door window wiper enough that I can use it.

I’ve got a 1.5” On my spare I can trade you if you’d like a 1/4” more space.
Looks great.

And if anyone else with a 70 wants to mount a large spare, I have a second wheel spacer available also....

She's had the same clutch in her CRV for 350k, so the 40 us in good hands.

Yes, we're coming home from the (socially distanced) pub...
Is that all... why so few. ;)

apparently it sold for $49K. Wow, but have to show it. Real classic.

Ok, not Toyota but I saw this at about 430 this morning and thought, holy s*** I would never be that sure of my hydraulics not leaking down.

Think that's an E-type Jag with the bucket poised to cut it in half...

(Yeah the pics suck.)

Most likely has his boom lock in but I still wouldn't trust it enough to put anything under it either.....:hmm: except maybe a politician or 2

More British junk, he's just thinking the same thing we are! Good on em'.
PS: Ditch the flip-phone and get the new I-phone 5!
I’ll take it. Could sell it to finance my 40 build. It could turn a DIY project with a budget into an awesome build with few restrictions.

I could also turn it into a reliable rig. Somewhere around there’s Triumph GT6 that I re-rebuilt a balanced engine in. You’ll be able to spot it on a rainy day because it’ll be the one with bright headlights. :D I ditched the 25 amp Lucas alternator in favour of a Landcruiser alternator with a solid state external regulator. That combined with soldering light sockets, adding ground wire, and otherwise rewiring as needed. Transplant enough Toyota key parts in and they can all be reliable. ;) The balanced 2.0 litre in line 6 cylinder was silky smooth @ 4000 rpm... almost like it was at idle. Crack open the throttle and the growl will bring a tear to your eye. Nothing sweeter. Now all it needed was a Toyota five speed transmission it’d be awesome. 125 hp at 5000 rpm from a torquey engine in a 2000 pound car that sat inches off the ground. I had a friend who had one in the 1970s... it handled well even above 100 mph. Above 80 it didn’t get floaty... instead it sucked down onto the road and handled even better.

Ha, camera was as bleary as me at that hour...and I couldn't find the damn window down button in Mel's car

If someone gave me an apple product I might try it, but I'll never forgive iTunes.

I would take the Jag tho, and if it made all the way to my house without breaking down I'd sell it.

I suppose that Renault Le Car that was posted a while back is more your style eh :flipoff2:
