I know… not a Toyota,
IMG_9572.webp

The closer I looked the more I cringed.

Seen in a neighbours driveway. What can I say… they wheel a ford exploder and they are repairing a ranger. They’d not need to work on them nearly as much if they bought Toyotas instead.

So I just tucked into a hotel in Conroe Texas this afternoon. Went driving around looking for what I wanted, was a small Mexican restaurant. so I drive by and there’s just really nice looking 62 series red mint so I thought to myself if the guy that owns that truck eats here it’s gotta be good enough for me. So I went in and yelled out who owns the Land Cruiser.? That led to a 25 minute discussion with his whole family. My phone went around the table 5 or six times with pictures showing the pictures of up north and 3 feet of snow on my house and all the rest and then I sat down at dinner they waved and left And when I went to pay my bill, he’d already covered it. That’s the cool goodness of the world right there, man!

X90? Saw it pull up at Country Grocer just as I left so I swung around for a pic. I’d be willing to bet tiny trails are all his. I think it’s cool! I mean, it’s got a spoiler, gotta keep it planted at those top speeds of 88 kph!!

Back home Jon?
Yup, Stood on the back porch at -1C this morning in my bare feet for 20 min enjoying being cold. Got tired of seeing texans wearing down coats in the morning at 59F cause it's 'cold'. Today it's people food, bird food, got the truck running. Pissed everyone off driving 80 kph into Ladysmith today. Mission accomplished!

BTW, nostalgia hit today. I posted a thread in CHAT. Finding out the first days of MUD and when it all started.
Back in the day of ORIGINAL Radd Cruisers, when I first joined TLCA in '97. I rang Woody, so maybe should be an
interesting conversation. This pic taken with Cricket Dec '97 up Haslam Creek, literally. We drove up the creek to cross.
I miss the old roads and the actual access before they strip mined the trees and our rights.

Bear mountain used to be a beautiful getaway that was close to home… not anymore. :(

Well it looks like they survived the rear axle work…

Darwin award nominee. 🤷‍♂️

Don’t worry, I didn’t hear any ambulance in our neighbourhood, and the For is back on 4 wheels until something else breaks.

Not a Toyota, but a monster classic that deserves respect. Amazing, always liked the Scout!

Beauty in Idaho. It’s for sale. Ad says rust free. Gorgeous!
