Tacoma fanboys aren't gonna agree with this guy. What interested me is the dissection of areas that mattered, undercarriage
and component strength. Weirdly enough I also agree, I think the 4.7 is a better motor for reasons stated. IF my 2010 had one
I'd not think lessor of it. I was beyond stunned at the freaking power output of that new V6 twin turbo. Toyota knows if they
let people into their computers a twin turbo 5.7 would be rocking it on the streets and strips.
Rob and I measured WB of his wife's new Tacoma and my RCSB, figured they were the same, turns out Tundra is shorter, kinda
hilarious. It makes me want to watch this guys build on the Tundra. There is some interesting stuff on here, whether you agree
or not. But I'd not buy the new Land Cruiser with your money

Davebro says the old 60 is still going strong, and was wheeling up Green Mtn yesterday in her for some grouse hunting.

Did you get who made the camper part? Is that the Canadian logo on the rear side?
Today? He's probably driving by my place on his way to Tofino
Nah, i was in a rush to get beer for the ferry ride. Quebec plates so they might still be in Tofino or headed to Fernie. Whistler is too expensive!

Well, hotels average $400/night in Victoria. That's a fact, as stated on the news couple weeks ago.
Vancouver/Richmond Holiday Inn where I need to overnight on occasion has gone from $125 to $350 in 4 yrs.
Tofino I wanted to book a 2 night but apparently its a minimum 3 nights @ $300?/?? at the resort places.
I know that annual pass at Whistler is $5K/yr and I've heard $350/day.
You are right.

How a differential works. Brilliant old fashioned video.

I don’t have a heat problem at slow speed, backing off the peddle and the egt’s immediately drop off to ambient so no need for a fan.

I chose to put the scoop at the front after taping yarn to my hood and determining the middle of the hood the traditional spot for most scoops was a low pressure zone and wouldn’t have rammed in air in fact it probably would have flowed the wrong way. But at the front it’s taking in air like a jet engine cowl and looks nice and subtle.

Coolant temperature hasn’t noticeably changed.
When I towed to the interior I just had the interwarmer on but no scoop. Having it on even without fresh air it dropped my heat soak temperatures by 200 degrees even in 38 degree interior temperatures so I was able to turn my fuel a lot and now a lot more with the cold air.

I’m at 10psi boost
Egt’s are 400 degrees or below at slow speed
Egt’s peak heat soak at 800 degrees towing on hills.

Went to Cool Cruisers of Texas today. Poster children of all the calendars. Mint original trucks. Certainly if ya need anything original they seem to be about 40’s and some 60 stuff. All the body parts come from Costa Rica. The 3/4 tubs lists for $14K. So I guess my restored tub has shot up to the top of the pile for value. My ‘73 FJ40 turns 51 this month. Sort of makes me want to just find all the pieces and put it back together now.
