Cool. Really Cool. ICE COLD!

I heard you parted ways with those KM2's. What is your plan now?

I hope my parents didn't unload em.. they did need a new ac system for their house and a fellow club member was assisting with insulation in their attic.. sure hope they didn't work out a trade .. That'll teach me for storing spare parts in their garage!
Far as I know.. i didn't change plans..

Had to make a decision to toss the old school 4wd lever in favor for a place for ac vents. Which is ok since the vacuum pod on the 62 tcase didnt fit either. Had to fill some holes

Then drilled new holes where I just filld in

I love Italian.

Engine harness done with a weatherpak bulkhead fitting. Next is cab harness. Looks intimidating but it ran just need to shorten and locate everything.

It's looking good.
Drive on.

It's running again so harness cleanup to the engine worked. Reconnected the rats nest of the inside section now to clean it up and reroute things where they want to go

Boy does that look familiar, ah

Wires wires. Getting tired of wires. Firewall section coming along. Still cleaning up inside section

Feels like surgery. Need to reinstall harness. See if it runs again. Beer was calling so done for today. Would still like to wire in hazards but that can come later.

Perseverance

That describes Erik in more ways than one.:)

Might not look like much from the peanut gallery but I wanted this thing to look like it belonged here. Wires are a pain. Everything is still color coded per fsm fj62 . Fuse blocks relocated to under the glovebox. Bulkhead fitting on the firewall to clean it up. Need to wrap the wires next. Might install one more bulkhead fitting or might not. Three wires still hanging out are ac idle up, tach signal (not sure if I want this one yet) and wiper hot with key( which goes into loom) dash is pretty much done. Plenty of extra spots on fuse panel for ham radio and ac.

Used the basics of the 45 harness, incorporated the later style steering column with high low on column. And used later ignition switch with rest of 62 harness. Added reverse light and separate turn/brake, and used 62 alternator wiring. Bypassed neutral safety switch and using vss in dash of a later cluster. Kept alt and check engine dummy lights and put them where the old turn signal indicators were in dash while using newer cluster turn indicators that are next to speedo. Was a lot of work but once you strip the 62 harness there isn't much left. Used stock 45 harness for lights, horn, turn and tail but wasn't much more in it.
