WElcome.. My cousin has a Moots Mtn Bike seem to recall it's like titanium and the frame is the flex? I have no idea, perhaps I made that up.

Yep...Moots are known for their Ti bikes. While they can certainly provide a more comfortable ride, their are a large number of variables as to how stiff the ride would be.

Good day all,
Don't have a Yota, yet. riverrat continues to push me that way. Currently wheel a blue Samurai. Just picked up two more and a LJ 80V. I’ve been married to Christy for about 10 years now. We have two kiddos, Madilyn 5 and Parker 2. Looking forward to hitting the trails with ya'll again. Tuttle was a blast. Lockers are the S#!t.

Hey! Just thought I would introduce myself, I'm Brian and live in Wichita. Just bought a 3x locked 97lx450 the other day and drove it down from Minnesota. There is some corrosion and rust on the underbody I will be getting taken care of next week but, surprisingly enough the body is rust free with the exception of some surface rust on the running boards. I plan to remove them anyways so no worries there.
I plan to do a few things to it over time and eventually meet a few of you guys. I have a few buddies that live in the KC area so I head that way once in awhile. What's with all the adds on the forum? I have never seen a forum so full of them?

I'll look into the membership to get rid of the adds. You wouldn't happen to know of a good salvage yard that would have any locked 80's would you? After closer inspection of my under carriage, the back of the rear axle has seen its better days. It seems that all the salt from up north collected there and did its damage. I am not to sure that I will have to replace but, I may need to if I am not able to sand blast the rust off and weld in some support brackets where all the suspension components mount up. The axle housing itself seems to be ok and only has minimal corrosion but, all the mounting brackets for the suspension are rusted pretty good and are to the point of flaking.

Someone gave me this site to look up junk yards.

Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market

In KC, we have pick and pull that shows their inventory online.

Either way, you will not know if it is locked until inspection.

New owner in ICT

My name is Alex and I'm new to cruisers. I recently purchased a 97 LX450 from Heath (Walking Eagle). I used to have a stock 95 4 runner that I used more as a winter beater/hunting rig. I bought this one for hunting and playing on the trails.I haven't been rock crawling yet but I plan to. I used to go mudding a long time ago. I have a beat up 72 jimmy and a 73 bronco. They are just piles of rust. More recently I have into racing but am getting burned out on it. I have a twin turbo'd 03 Cobra and a 91 mustang coupe that I am selling in a couple weeks. My tow rig is an 11 F250 CC PSD. I saw that there is a meet at Disney at the end of the month. I'd like to try to make it down there. I'm working on finishing up the paint on the rig first. I'd also like to get different gears installed as well. I'm located in Wichita. Are there any shops around here that can do gear installs? Look forward to meeting you guys/gals. KC_Chevota please email the membership info for TAC to mattson_a90@yahoo.com

Here is a pic from when Heath owned it. I haven't taken any pics yet.

New Member jvangun - Justin

My name is Justin and am a new member to the Tornado Alley Cruisers club located in Overland Park, KS. I recently purchased a 1 owner, 2000 Toyota LandCruiser with just over 100k miles on it. I've wanted one for years and my current role with my company does not require substantial amounts of driving so I figured that now is as good a time as any. Other than my Yakima roof rack I have not made any modifications and plan on keeping it close to stock. I do however love to see what others are doing to their vehicles and would like to participate in some of the "wrenching" get togethers to learn some tips and tricks for myself.

Nice clean rig. Congrats and welcome.

Mike from Stanley/Leawood area. Just bought a rough FJ40 (titled as 66, but probably built 6/65). I'm starting to tear it down and get it road-worthy. Hoping to drive it a little bit and then pull the tub off and do a fairly complete resto.

It's a 3spd, column shift with PTO winch and the old style hard top. I'll post pictures so you can see just how bad it is!

I've been a TLCA member for a long, long time, but, I'm not in here much.
I'm sure there's more of you I haven't met, than those of you I have met.

Here's my current two
