Kina finished the SOA yesterday which was very half-assedly done by the PO. The rear springs were saggy and turns out one was from a 55 and one was from a 60.

The rear spring replacements are a pair of 55 springs I got from a guy in CA which turned out to actually be 60 series springs with sleeves inside. Either way they worked great. The back end has probably been raised up about 4 inches from where it was before.

Shackles on the front are a big help now obviously. All the rattles in the truck are essentially gone and I don't have to hold my breath anymore when hitting bumps.

Camera broke. Pics soon.

awesome cant wait to see the pics

Pics. few more to come. had to use cameraphone so pics ain't great but you get the gist. Truck is nice and level. Still has some cruiser lean but not too bad. It's kinda tough to climb into now.

Nice job Flipper, it's looking good, the next owner is going to like what you've done!

Second that, but not so sure. This one might stick around for a while.

This ones nice. I hope he keeps it long. Next I would put a full roll cage in it.

Finally pulled off my Warn HS9500 yesterday, it's been non-functional for almost 2 years now. Found lots of rust and water damage. Motor is toast (rust), as is one of the planetary gears. Parts are almost $600. Crap.

Lesson learned: winches are not weatherproofed very well. If you have one, take it apart now, anti-seize all the bolts, clean out all the water before it's too late.

Spent the good part of Saturday installing some Rocky-Road super sliders on my 4Runner. The firsy one took me almost two hours. These sliders attach at the body seam and then to the frame. Drilling out the five body seam holes and then getting the slider up to hang it was a challenge. Especially when a few holes are a 32nd of inch off. In any case, the 2nd took like 30 minutes. Now I'm ready for my next run.

Saving up some cash now for an ARB locker and skid plates. Hopefully those will be done before the spring.

Learned how to weld TIG upside down on Sunday. Finally have shock mounts on my rear axle. My truck is one step closer to an inspection!

Spent some time at Rick place yesterday. We took a trip to the machine shop to drop off my 2F head to be redone and the crank to be micro polished. Then spent a couple hours cleaning the block and chasing all the bolt holes.

Very nice ant. I recognize some of those parts

I shot the river blue on Wednseday over the holiday and shot hte lily white on Friday night followed byt Saturday shooting the clear sation and another 3 coats of satin today.looks good no runs but I have a fair amount of color sanding ahead of me.
