2021 LX 570 with 45K miles. Recently new to me.

First notable update - pivoting off the OEM tire & wheel combo.

Installed are 285/70/R18 KO3 on Tundra rims (75157 Tundra wheels, OEM part #42611-0C200, +60mm offset), with 25mm spacers (thanks to @LCMoneyPit). Thanks to @tbisaacs for the amazing MUD content and feedback. Removed the front mud flaps, the small piece in front of the front tires (is it called a spat?), some slight rubbing ... will pin the inner fender liner forward and that should do it.

Hamilton CarPlay, cup holder upgrade, and storage solution between console and seats make life pretty cushy inside.

BTW - F1 episode of Acquired done. Check it out if you haven’t already.

Proper!

Never really had LX envy but damn a 19-21 on 285/70/18s is near perfect.

Txs.

I went into analysis paralysis for a bit between 275/70/18 vs 285 vs 295 … let alone smaller sidewall or diff rim sizes.

Wanted almost no mods/ rubbing impact and this achieved that so I’m happy. Don’t have MPG impact yet.

@Tehmbrick I'm about to do the same combo for a 2018 LX. Any issues with hitting the rear fender on square compression? Have any photos of fender alignment / poke? Also, I assume the tires are E-rated, how's the ride? I'm considering the AT4W since that's the only C-load in that size I can find.

A few shots re 'poke'.

Yes, E-rated tires. To me, negligible difference from stock tires to this setup.

I've had no issues on compression but haven't yet had it on the trails (shakedown run to the Sierras in a couple of weeks).

Overall, no regrets on the choices. I am not 100% in love with the wheels from a look standpoint ... but it's good enough and not a priority for me.

I have a bunch of shots of the front 'pin' and trim ... lmk if you want that.

Yeah if you have photos of how you pinned it that would be great. You went with 1" spacers? Imitation is the finest form of flattery.

Love my 1UP rack on the LX. Got a great ride in at Purisma Open Space Preserve ... if you know, you know!

Forgive my ignorance….but wtf is this?

Trail snail minus the shell. AKA banana slug

Fun fact - banana slugs are protectors of redwood trees, so I feel like they're pretty darn awesome.

Protector of redwood trees

A mutualistic partnership flourishes between the towering coast redwood and the lowly banana slug. Despite their wide-ranging palate, banana slugs never feast on redwoods. Instead, they act like nurturing gardeners, weeding out (or rather, eating) competing plants and enabling redwood seedlings to reach their full potential. In return, mature redwoods help create the damp, shady microclimate that these slugs need to survive.

Update from Emily @ Dissent ... roof rack expected to be ready in mid June. I'm buying pizza & beer if there's anyone in the Bay Area who's dropped the headliner to install one of theses ...

Also, in case anyone's interested, my latest tank MPG was 13.0 (80% around town driving), much improved after airing up to 38 PSI (was under 10 MPG, with the 33 PSI that Costco had set ... yikes).
