I'm considering this tire as well. They're fairly new – not sure anyone has really tested them yet. I also like the new Yokohama Geolandar (A/T G015).
Another vote for 285/75 KO2s. Whatever I buy next will also have KOs, and the vehicle after that. Truly a "set it and forget it," tire.
Has your gas mileage dipped much with those tires? I love the look but am afraid to lower my already low gas mileage.
About 14mpg around town in stop-and-go, can't really complain about that. No lift required, no rubbing and full size spare fits in factory location.

Pulling the trigger on a set of 4 AT3's in the 275/70/18 flavor through americas tire co. $160 in rebates brings the cost to 863.14 out the door.
I went ant compared the AT3, ATP, and KO2. Im liking the more squared design of the at3 and I think they will be great for what I use my 100 for.
I'll post before and after pics when they get installed. I also plan on leveling out the rig via TB crank.

Quick update: I went with Falken Wildpeak A/T3W in 285/75r16. Tread lightly offers $150 in rebates on Falken Tires with a membership and Discount Tires Direct was offering an additional $135 in rebates for President's Day. I purchased 5 tires for $560 after rebates.
Any suggestions for a tire size with a 1.5 inch lift, and 16inch wheel?
Got five 285/75r16 KO2's for my 2000 about 1000mi ago. Absolutely loving them in the snow, highway, and fire roads. Recommend using 303 protectant from day one to prevent browning and keep them looking good.

Those Conti's look interesting. 90% Highway, 10% trail for me sounds prefect. Anyone try them on a Hundy yet?

Does it feel solid and such as it tracks down the road?
I was interested in the Conti's but they don't come in 285/65/18 which is the size I am interested in now. I am not interested in any tire that reduces power too much. I think that size would be perfect for me. There is always the 285/60/18, too. Just wider and slightly taller than the stock 275/60/18 tires. I'm not ready to make my LC into a full blown trail rig, yet. I have the Conti CrossContact LX20 275/60/18 on my LC but they are a P tire and not suitable for much more than mild off-roading. I like them on the road, though. Very smooth, long-wearing and quiet. I took them off-road once in some mud and steep hills and they did great. Just worried about their toughness on rocky trails. Hence, the need to buy AT's.
Ive had really good luck with the Nitto Ridge Grapplers. A little stiff on road, but they do really well in the mud down here. Also much quieter then I thought they would be. 295/70 18s.
I've been shopping some Toyo AT's, too. They have some really good selections. I'll probably end up with the BFG KO2's in 285/65/18 based on their popularity and proven history. It's just that the size I want is more expensive than the 275/70/18 which is also a great selection, just a wee bit taller than the 285/65/18.
I'm torn between the KO2s and the general grabber AT2. The matter is cheaper by a few hundred bucks and supposedly look the same. Just a thinner sidewall so might be more prone to puncture on the trail. Right now Costco has 275/70/18 for $170 a piece, cheapest Ko2 I can find is around 220ish.

I'm right there with you. Any idea about the road noise? I might only ever spend 10% of time on trails, so I'm not even sure if an A/T tire is right for me...but they look fantastic.
The Grabber is pretty equivalent to the KO2 in sidewalk strength. The BFG KO2 uses 3 ply 1,000 denier and the Grabber uses 2 ply 1,500 denier. Both equal the strength of 3,000 denier. I asked Continental about the sidewall in the TerrainContact but they would not tell me the denier stating it was "proprietary". The sidewall is 2 ply and my guess would be that it is also 1,500 denier. All three tires have a load index of 125 and an E rating in the 275/70/18 size. The TerrainContact also has 2 steel + 2 polyester + 2 polyamide for tread. The polyamide helps to refuse flat spots and helps the tire stay "round". My CrossContacts have the polyamide as well but they are standard load 4 ply tires.
