Sunday evening and drinking a beer, BBQ and looking at the 55, nothing better! It's time we all got a drink of our choice and take a long look at our 55s. She's a beautiful beast that will take us camping, traveling, rock climbing or like J Mack and me, wheeling the mall. I believe all the work, money and time is well spent on such a great vehicle, so raise your glass and feel good you own one of the best! :beer:
 
Perfect timing, took the Angry Pig out again yesterday and damaged another wheel and tire so I’m sitting around today grilling some Tri-Tip drinking my favorite adult beverage staring at both pigs thinking I need to get a real job if I want to keep hanging out down here in the pigsty with you guys. :beer::beer::beer:



Those mall parking lots are hell on BFG tires :steer:

I second that! I was driving mine this morning realizing how much I enjoy shifting through the gears. I also enjoy that I never see another one out on the roads. Do you guys ever see other pigs driving around? It seems so rare that the few guys driving 60s or even 40/43s don't even wave. Maybe they don't know it's a land cruiser. They just look so exotic, something that you'd need if you're hunting Godzilla.

I owned a 76 back in the 80s and it was the only one I had ever seen in person, now 30 years later the 71 is still the only other 55 I've seen in this area. I guess Dittmer isn't a Landcruiser mecca after all. Can't say that about jeeps! Just like the 55 owners, very unique. Not everybody could own a 55. :)
 
Hey Bob,

I bet those tasted good. Did you buy the new Budweiser ( America ). I wrote them an email and quit drinking it until they change the name back. Pissed me off for several reasons.
 
Tonight is the first time I can walk out my door and drink a beer while looking at the pig. Cool to see from a distance. It has been in the shop so long that all I ever saw of it was less than 10 feet away. Now I can really spend some time checking it out:) cheers!

ALWAYS buy the Mall Hazard warranty at the tire store! Costs a little more than the Road Hazard, but when you are wheeling against the soccer moms, you need every advantage. They ain't playing around!
