Dang, you've been busy. When you going to come use it?
One day, my dear friend one day I hope. Until then we give it some labor of love!

Speaking of which, removing the dried and cracked up clear bra is a miserable job. Soak it in GooGone, scrape it with plastic scraper, invent new swear words, and repeat.
Half way through the job, I decided to reward myself with a fun little painting project.

Bro your level of free time is envy-inspiring. Strong work!

A$$hat has already been invented BTW

Wonder what kind of cheap Chinese film is on that poor Lexus. Even the 40 year old crap Porsche used on their cars at the factory came off easier than that.

I truly am blessed. I work 5 days a week and take classes on both days of weekend. All of what I get to do is in about 10 minute breaks I get from work and an occasional weekend I get off.

Lexus dealer installed and then cooked mercilessly for 20 years in the SoCal sun.

Well maybe you’re just a much quicker mechanic than I am! (Most people are.)

I might come across like that, because I only post my successes here

Don't be modest, the secret to your success is being a fellow Clarksonian disciple. Meanwhile .....

Meanwhile, I was able to scrape off the clear bra and am happy to report she is all natural and perky underneath
Also, put the freshly painted grill back on.

"Meanwhile..."

Larry at AmmoNYC uses a hot water method to remove clear bra. It seems much more effective to soften the glue with hot water than to melt the glue and film together with heat. Check out his videos for all things detail related.

In preparation for new globes, I re-indexed the torsion bars and flushed a little over 3 litres of the AHC fluid to get rid of all the bubbles in the system.
I now have 6.6 Mpa front and 6.4 in the rear and a hella bouncy truck!

Since there is almost no chance of Impex actually getting the globes to me by the end of this week, it looks like this truck won't be fit for our next trip either. Oh well, I am glad we own a minivan!

Any chance you got drawback of air into the tube accumulator?

Readings of AHC Pressures, Height Control Sensors, Steering Angle, Voltages, all look good. Presumably tape-measured front cross-level and hub-to-fender 'ride heights' (a.k.a. 'operating heights') also are fine? Also presume no DTC's are showing on Techstream?

By themselves, AHC Pressures tell nothing about overall 'globe' condition -- checking difference in graduations at AHC Tank between "HI" and "LO" heights at correct AHC pressures is necessary for that -- and this may confirm your expectation that new 'globes' are the necessary next step for this vehicle. Fingers crossed for speedy delivery from IMPEX!!

Yes the left to right are dead equal at 19.5" and there are no DTC detected by Techstream.
I will count the graduations the next time I get a chance

What do you do with a truck you can't really drive but still can't stop tinkering with it?
You take off all the wheels and confirm that all the wheel spacers are still torqued to 100 lb ft.
Then you move the spare from left swing out to the right.

Replaced all 8 spark plugs with new Denso ones. Old plugs all came out easily and had no indication of burning oil and running rich.
Also, found 2 of the coils had cracks in them so replaced them with new Denso coils as well. She continues to purr like a kitten and hop like a damned kangaroo!
