Got the wind shield off! Did not break a single screw! Special shout out to PB blaster and vessel screwdrivers! If you don’t have some get some they are magical! I’m happy about the lack of rust on the top of the tub. Also equally disappointed with the abundance of rust on the wind shield frame. Another metal piece to bend up and weld in. Oh the fun of aftermarket fenders! Spent some time trying to fit these up. Got them close then noticed i had forgotten to put the pad/bushing under the bib hinge. So all was for not and i needed some time with my emotional support animal. Actually i was ordering material to make a new one and the needy hound wanted some attention.

Love a poodle. Got a Goldendoodle coming in about 12 weeks. Rust in the rust belt is indeed a problem... sure you can repair it. Good Luck.

Got the seat frame squared away. sprayed some primer on it. Had a bit more of ago at the front end. I decided that maybe my remade front bib hinge was maybe causing may troubles in lining up the fenders. Time will tell. Ordered a old hinge from ebay due to no one have one for sale on this site. Jwrestorations.... I think from TLC is where it’s from... i’ll take their garbage.

Here we go it’s been a while. Transmission tunnel is in good shape. Started working on getting some body filler on top of the weld area where the new rear fenders were installed. I personally like the smell of body filler. Using 3m platinum plus filler. It goes on smooth but i wish it had a bit more working time. This is where i’m out of my element getting these back fenders acceptable may take me some time. I did get a sanding block kit.
