Getting at it while i can. This side fit up way better then the drivers but i didn’t find any bondo on this side either. Had to enlist the kid to help put the door on. It a pain to get hold the door and try to get the pins in. Tomorrow is gonna be a big day fitting the floor pan and my other homemade patch panel for the dye of the gas tank well. Man my garage is a friggen wreck!

Here we go! Some more progress took way longer to get back on to the job then i thought. Fitting up a patched panel between the rocker and the tank well. Cut out the patch welded it in. Part of the delay pictured below. Finally got some back fill around the back of the shop. Moving on up the floor board toward my new diy firewall patch.

Had to pause for a minute and upgrade my shop lighting. Got 4 48” led. 4500 lumens at 4000k. In a attempt to preserve my 20/20 vision the upgrade was needed! The Dog was on four paws for the first time in months. Winter is coming and i’ll need to get a good heat source going to keep temps manageable

Well s*** moment of the day! I decided to hit the hump part of the of the floor board with the needler. Well now feel like i should replace that part to. Real steels floor board has the hump included. Guess i’m going to order one this evening. So anyone looking for a correctly fitting passenger floor minus the hump section. I got one. FML

The new pan from real steel is in. Still have a ton of sanding to do. It fit well it has the hump in it and the taper to match the outer rocker panel. The ccot panel i had to cut to match the rocker taper. So there is a a couple of differences in the companies parts. The support channel under the pan is another custom piece. Which i have a few extras of those of some one is in need. Still plowing forward!

Well with the holiday and catching the stomach flu from someone at thanksgiving. Nothing has been done. Spent some money on some very fine feeling screw drivers from a ebay seller from japan. Probably the nicest tools i own. I start plowing away here this week.

Back to plowing! Tidying up the driver side inside rocker with some pillar welding and hammering over the door sil edge. Man all that hammering is ruff not used to swinging a hammer that much! Also tagore the lower portion of the passenger side firewall. It doesn’t seem like i’ve been at this for this long but it’s been more then a year just on the tub rusteration. Thanks for the nice comments!

Remember to test-fit, test-fit, test-fit - including the doors, hardtop, etc. to be sure it's all in the right place before final welding. BTDT.

Well a few fails this time. The wiper motor cover was correct for the year.....but i failed to notice it was changed over for a later model big motor version. Balls now for sale a sand blasted smaller cover. Then I made my first version of the door step support. I got everything right except one dimension. So the hit the bottom of the rocker when the bolts were installed. No pictures do to an ample of amount of creative language that made resulted in a confused dog look from the poodle. Revision 2 tomorrow. I missed the height from the hole to where the step mounts
