I believe it’s still available for pre-order but the price is $799.

Just checked it, and yeah the pre order pricing is gone but you can still order early if you want, just at the normal pricing

Is the group buy still available? I’m just now seeing this.
The preorder price was gone when I went to order it and I sent them an email and they changed the price for me. It was changed on the website for a day or so last week after that, so it's worth asking them if they will still give you the discount.

Been a long time since Ive updated the thread, but got a christmas time update from The rust farmers.

"
A quick update on the FJ60 Dash production. Tooling has been cut for the steel insert/stiffener. The first article will stamp for a sample in January. I would anticipate receiving a first prototype in Feb or March timeframe. Still on track to complete the project before the end of 2025.

Thanks and Happy Holidays"

Ive got another update just in case yall didnt get the email from the rust farmers after your purchase. Im pretty stoked to have a nice new dash. The following is the update email I got.

"Hi All-
Thank you for your patience. I wanted to let you know the tooling was completed for the steel backbone/frame of the dash pad. I’ve attached a picture.

The outer form for the vinyl is completed too and I’m hoping to test fit a prototype in the next month. I want to manage expectations on timing for delivery at Q4 2025, worst case. The project is move quicker than expected, but slower than it should.

Thank you,
Seth

Hello All-
Update on the Safety Dash Pad project. I’ve received the first sample from the plant and will be test fitting it next week. Attached are some pics of the dash. Some small issues that need to be corrected, but overall a great first article. Still on track for delivery Q4 of this year.
Thank you for your support.
All the best,
Seth

Last I talked with The Rust Farmers was about a week or two ago. He was taking the working prototype to his factory to finalize some changes and get some cosmetic changes sorted out. Look to still be on track with the project. I can shoot him a message this week. Hes returning from Asia tomorrow I believe

Just caught up on this thread. Are brown dashes going to be available
According to The Rust Farmers website "It will be offered in two factory standard interior colors: Brown, Grey, and a limited number of Black."

Any updates. A tad Leary of first runs Missed the group buy so the 700-800 pricing for me hence if I go this route I need to be 100% it’s real good

The last I talked to him he was planning on being back in the factory making changes to the original around now. I just messaged him to see if he can give me an update to post here. This was when i talked to him last, on October 5th.

"I flew there on Sept. 5th with a lower dash frame and upper dash pad in hand to review the reproduction vs. an OEM. I spent a day onsite crawling around an FJ60 with the Chief Engineer for the factory.

At the end of the meeting both the Factory Owner, Engineer, and I agreed a new mold needed to be made. A new mold is a big deal, because the base frame is stamped steel. It’s a must because the fitment wasn’t right the first time. With that being said they are fast tracking the project and I should have a sample by Oct. 12th. I’ll be in Australia at that time, and will not be able to test fit until I return end of Oct.

My business partner in China understands the inspection criteria as does the factory. I’m generating a 25 point inspection process with go, no-go pictures for both the factory and my partner to use as they inspect the fitment on version 2 of the dash at the factory. The factory does have an FJ60. Where they went wrong install is that they did not install the air ducting, gauge cluster bezel, lower dash bezel and glove box, when they checked fitment the first round.

While onsite I also made my displeasure known about how long this project is taking.

With that being said, I striving for perfection and it’s taken longer than I would have liked. I believe January is a good date. It’s a tight timeline. I’m pushing them hard. We have another meeting at the factory in two weeks and then again in Nov. to follow-up on timeline and progress."
